lol yeah, Alla seems the perfect place to ask that. I can nearly guarantee that if someone were to attempt to suggest a PLD just use Etherial Earring for the MP return, you'd have a thread full of people saying how CoP is impossible and it shouldn't be expected that anyone be able to obtain such an item. They were even whining that some of the BLU spells come from sea, suggesting that the sea spells be made available through other means.

Can't really bitch THAT much about the Alla crew. Atleast when they post shit that we like, i.e. fixing the shield interruption rate, we can thank them and leave the slapping alone for a day. Granted, most of the things they post are so absurd and end up pissing me off more than anything else, that I would enjoy choking them for a few days.

Isn't the damage taken from shield blocks already converted to MP using Ethereal anyway? I'm assuming, unfortunately I haven't gotten my earring yet (shut up I know). Wasn't in my LS at the time they went through the first few times, and been too busy with work and RL to go through and set it up with my own crew.

Speaking of Alla, Somepage just introduced a comment system on their website similiar to Alla. One less reason to ever use Alla is always a good thing.

The comment system was never a reason to use Allakazham in the first place. Most of the comments are as bad as the misinformation in the quests, missions, and such. FFXI Encyclopedia and Mysterytour all the way!

The only reason I've ever used alla comments was when I needed to farm something but didn't know where the mobs were. Sometimes, the comments under that mob or an item it drops will explain where to find them.

Only thing I ever found Alla comments useful for was for seeing how different setups/situations worked on missions and things like that.

No I understand that, but when I block, it's usually for an amount, rarely do I get a block for 0 unless Sentinel is up. And while Aegis is a -25% Magic, it doesn't affect the Physical Damage taken while the block is in effect. Unless I'm missing something.

You're confusing size 5 with size 6. Aegis is the only size 6 shield, having more Damage reduction than a size 5 shield while also having the block rate of a size 1 shield.
