Thanks for the quick replies. Ya our crew is about 18 people give or take a few. I was just curious if there was a way to get around having all 3 NMs on the alliance without sac pulling.

The NMs are immune to gravity.Could do the 5 blm -ga from behind the tower to kill the eyes, then have 2 rdms' each hold 1 NM with bind/gravity while you kill the other. I don't know if this works on all NM's but I've seen our rdm's hold the odd NM like this solo.
the NM eyes are easy for us, we just send the blms (think it is a min of 8) around behind and time nuke em all down. They can normally get 4 towers down in the time it takes the melee to do tower 1 NMs.
As for eye wall we send a sac down the hill and get eyes 3 and 4 and their mobs (BLM WHM DRG DRG). you can then pull 1+2 and 5+6 separate.
I agree, with 18 it's not worth the risk. Just have someone sack pull each one and then give him the exp scrolls.Originally Posted by residue

Hmm for the wall of eyes, our shell has a person target each eye. Then a thf will aggro them all with flee/pd once the mobs start moving each eye is claimed. Once we kill all the eyes we pull the mobs a few at a time.
Edit: we do usually get a couple mobs with the 7 eyes, but they are slept until the eyes are dead.
For each set of NMs we have one puller, 2 kites and 2 rdm to keep the kites alive. Blms will timed nuke eye and then puller will grab nastiest NM to kite out of the 3 while the other two are kited. We always kill the bst pet last to avoid dispell.
rath, test the other method.
It leaves out the chances of someone grabbing an eye to fast and brining back all his friends with him. It's pretty much flawless. (unless one person doesn't voke.)
the eye wall pull is actually pathetically easy if you have 2 pullers who don't lag, and everyone stays back far enough to avoid sleeping the train in the return path of half the mobs. peg your sac puller on the far end of the pull (north) and your puller on the near end (south). make sure neither has any fast cast gear or traits, and pick a time. cast dia on the eye at your end of the wall. sac puller runs away, puller runs to alliance, no mess, no fuss, no linkage. splits it cleanly into 2 pulls of 3 eyes and the mobs each. i've yet to fail at doing this pull cleanly. any hint of lag though, and you're boned, b/c the link timing will go horribly wrong.
I dont even Stun my eye until his eye goes red, it gives you a little window. If you go slow you will just get less mobs. It's amazing how easy that fight is and that I had our LS fight that whole fight for like a year lol.
My Dynamis linkshell's Eye Wall aka "Wall of Death" strategy:
-Linkshell camps at the bottom of the hill (north) between the Wall of Death and the corridor with the 3 eyes.
-BLM alliance "snipes" the middle two eyes (multiple simultaneous AMII killing eye without any aggro from the demons that pop). This requires I think a minimum of 5 or 6 BLMs casting AMII. Everyone stays clear of the BLMs until the snipes are successfully completed in case it fails.
-Four tank/kiters (including LS main tank) move up the hill and each call off their targets of the 4 demons that pop (WHM, BLM, and 2 DRG demons)
-The tank/kiters run up to the top of the hill with their targets still targeted
-THF sac puller pulls the top eye, everything links and runs. THF runs all the way to the Seere/Andras/Gomory tower if possible (Flee + Strider's/Trotter's helps, PD if necessary)
-Tank/kiters stay put and claim their targets as they run up the hill (if the kiters run in and get their targets early while they're still popping, that person gets some links and can cause a wipe)
-Tank/kiters bring the 4 demons east to the wall (away from popping monsters in the wall), then to the bottom (north) of the hill where the linkshell is camped out. Everyone assists main tank. The other 3 demons are tanked and/or slept.
This splits the wall exactly in half, allowing you to pull just the top half or just the bottom half (each half consisting of 2 eyes and 4 demons).
We haven't wiped to the "Wall of Death" in months doing this, and we farm it everytime whether we're going for DL or just farming for AF2. If we're just farming for AF2, after clearing the death wall, we'll slowly move EAST through the corridor taking out the demons and eyes until we wind up back out in the open area north of the last NM towers (almost full circle). From there if we still have some time left, we wander back towards the east some more finding targets that won't link too many demons. We usually at least make it back near the first NM tower (the one that pops Zaebos/Berith/Decarabia) and take out one of the lone eyes that floats right next to the tower. Sometimes we have a little fun with some of the clusters of statues, demons and eyes in the wide open areas.
different strokes for different folks, i guess. the bottom line is, you have to go in with a plan and make sure everyone knows what they're doing. any 1 screwup can bring a whole death train from hell down on your alliance, so it's critical everyone's on their game. just gotta pick something that works and stick with it.
