don't be a sheep though, the phone still needs major improvements (3G ability etc).

I just wish this has the plastic transparent flip like the old Sony TH55 PDA to prevent scratching... (this is the PDA from the Densha Otoko movie)

I hope they end up just making a touch screen iPod.
I'd rather have a touch screen iPod than get all that by switching to Cingular.
Also, if the iPhone scratches anywhere near as easily as a iPod you guys can all enjoy your crappy scratched up iPhones...or put it in a protective case that makes it not look nearly as cool.
well, If the iPhone is something thats really fkin pimp then chances are i'll get an unlocked one from eBay and stay with t-mobile.
And so it begins lol.Originally Posted by Zigma

To be fair, japan's cellular phone market embarrasses EVERYTHING the US has to offer, by a lot. The phones are cheaper to buy, perform 100% better and come with plans that do not require a 2-3 year commitment to get decent prices. Not to mention the coverage is damn good no matter where you go (above ground).Originally Posted by Zigma
I used to have Cingular, and they're horrible.
But who cares what company you have to deal with, this phone owns.![]()
I hear people saying cingular is horrible, and they don't post why. Is it the coverage, prices, or customer service? It can't be the customer service, that's been really good for me the past 7 years. Coverage here (western kentucky) is great, and the prices, i have no clue. Ive had the same plan for like 4 years...
I used Cingular for years and I never noticed anything wrong with them
just get unlimited data transfer for $20 from cingular and you are set.

Your hip and trendy Apple iPhone will soon bear the decidedly unhip and anti-trendy AT&T branding on it.
Already negotiated/ing with for rights to use the name, as of the day Jobs made that speech they were on final paperwork.Originally Posted by Sadler

Cisco is going ahead with legal actions as of yesterday.
"The celebration surrounding the launch of Apple's new iPhone mobile handset was cut short on Wednesday after Cisco Systems, which owns the rights to the iPhone name, said it would sue Apple for trademark infringement"
All a ploy by Cisco for more money from Apple for the name. What Apple wants, Apple gets. Cisco is just making sure they cough up the cash big time for what they want this time. Kinda smart I guess if you think about it on Cisco's part. They waited until just after the Keynote where Apple did it's grand unveiling to slam them with the suit. They are hoping on Apple's unwillingness to change their minds because it's too late, needing the name deal to go through now more than ever.
I still don't understand why Apple doesn't rename the stupid phone. Name it iCell or something lol.
*Edit: I do agree with you that it is smart of Cisco. Milk Apple for as much as they can get.
