I agree with dreamcast>PS2 and i still can't beleive that sega lost that battle to sony. With how much the dreamcast was selling and how big is fandom had became it clearly should of been #1 in last gens cosole battle.

But right now i see the 360 winning and i dont even like xbox that much because i prefer japanese games over western ones so it doesn't really cater to my needs (i like games with dudes with swords instead of dudes with guns).

I like them! I can't see myself buying a Ps3 for it, but it looks like a nice game so far. But I wanna know a lot more of course...

Blue Dragon, PSU, Gears of War, Oblivion, Saints Row, Deadrising, and Halo3... should be enough for you to buy a 360.

But yeah, I'll own all 3 eventually (have 360 and wii atm)... but I won't pay so much for a PS3. Hopefully by the time FF13 comes out the premium version will drop to 500~.

I dunno, some people would say Gears of War, Oblivion, Blue Dragon or Halo 3 alone would be worth buying it for. At least Penny Arcade would...

As for the PS3 thing, the best way I can see it working out for Sony now is Shirokishi, FF13s and a price drop hitting at about the same time.

Well, Halo 3 isn't released yet, getting one now is pointless, especially if price drop again eventually I doubt it will before Halo tho)

Gears of War is a good reason, Oblivion is on PC, and not that great unless you are a fan of the genre, havent played Blue Dragon

I live in Thousand Oaks, CA ... there are PS3s everywhere, it's sad really. The other day I went to Fry's to buy a 4gig stick for my psp, and I saw stacks and stacks of PS3s laying down on the floor next to stacks of 360s.

And Kaylia, those ARE good reasons to buy a 360... also, I forgot to mention Lost Planet and Lost Odyssey. F.E.A.R. is also pretty good.

I don't know, if all those games aren't worth getting a 360 for, I dunno what is. It does have some really good games, and sure it's different from the Wii and PS3 titles, but that's the reason I decided to get a 360 in the first place.

Anyways, I don't see a point to buying a PS3 until the price lowers/more RPGs come out, because that's pretty much the reason I had a PS2.

In my eyes Wii is still the best console atm, I find myself spending most of my free time with it.

This is a sweet deal right here except that its nearly impossible to find a 20 GB PS3. Cause I can get another PS2 for $20 :D

And the thing about those numbers is that the Wii was consistantly sold out of stores, whereas the 360 wasn't.

So the numbers are slightly deceptive since if another million Wiis had been produced, they easily would've been sold juast as quickly. The 360 had more sales, I guess largely thanks to Gears of War being one of the best games of the year, but it was helped tremendously by how many units were already producted of the system.

That's a pretty interesting trade-in deal. There is pretty much zero retail profit in selling new consoles, makes me wonder if they are concerned with moving their inventory of ps3's+ps3 games.
In contrast, I had a bit of trouble finding a used ps2 for sale over the holidays.

When X-Play reviewed FFXII they also showed a bunch of FFXIII scenes, and said they weren't pre-rendered. FFXII's in-game graphics blended very well with the pre-rendered scenes, but I could see FFXIII not using any. I'm not going to hold my breath for it to be cross-platform.

I can't see that happening. Several titles may jump ship from the Ps3 for a while, but I seriously doubt that would be one of them. It's PS3's only game on the Top 10 most wanted right now, and WILL sell PS3's (how many I don't know), they NEED it as an exclusive.

Also, the main reason I haven't bought a 360 is the same reason I never bought an Xbox: I'm an RPG person (which is one of the big reasons why I'm so dissapointed by the Ps3 (and to a lesser extent the WiiShop, but that could change at the drop of a hat)), and the only REALLY good Xbox RPGs also came out for computer. Blue Dragon, if it is really impressive, might convince me otherwise, but I'm just not sure yet. I'd like just a few other exclusive RPGs to come out. The biggest RPG machine right now is the DS, and I love my DS to death, but I want something on the big screen too. PS2 can keep me going for a bit still I guess, but...
