    I wish I had a chance to test the new WHM haste killage setup... But had to quit the game again... Got the zealous tiara on a random shout Pantokrator run. Had to outlot 17 others for the tiara ^^. Definitely makes whm awesome. Now if only I can find a dynamis group to help me finish the attestation trial for my club ;;.

    I'll do some testing later. Eventually I do plan to get the gloves but for now inventory is taking priority so multi use gear is good enough for now.

    I redid the body and +1'd blessed hands, so I'm swapping between capped haste and slightly under cap but with the acc/dw body just depending on the target and how my acc is.

    Your first setup confuses the shit out of me, and with Razed Ruins and cruor buffs, I can't imagine how your accuracy would be low enough to ever warrant a reduction in attack speed.

    Annnd, just for the sake of reiteration, I really, really feel like using Dagan in any situation where you don't absolutely need it to stay alive is a huge mistake.

    Even with RR and cruor buffs, unless I use sushi I'm not parsing 95% on things like Raja or Apade or Drag or alfard or higher tier nms of that nature. I'm working my way to more blessed +1 to keep haste capped with acp body, which has acc/dw now so while I am losing 2% haste, I do get the dw and full use of the 10 acc. Typically, I do stick to the full haste set up though because I am capping on most things.

    And I am using hexa liberally, but I still want a good Dagan build for when I do use it. Even if I'm not meleeing I can set VV, idle in Gamb/Bloodbead Ecu and restore some MP from back line without running in like I'd need to for Boon.

    You're probably better off using sushi in situations where you're not capped. WHM can still swap in a decent amount of attack to compliment a full-haste/DW build to make up for the lack of attack food.

    Decided to make a melee set for whm cause of RR / VV and i had nothing better to do just wanted to know what i could improve on, i know the body i wear is bunk and i should get acp / goliard but what else should i work on?

    Mars's Ring if you can get hold of one for both TP and hexa.

    For Hexa:

    Prudence Torque or Light Gorget (not 100% on which is better).

    Light Belt or Virtuoso Belt (again, not sure which is better but both will beat Pythia+1).

    Hydra Brais for legs if you can get and Creek M Clomps for feet since you're a taru.

    If the moogle hat isn't a DD-orientated one then Rokugo Hachimaki is probably the next best (100% drop from Fistule), or maybe that chicken hat (I forget the name) from the La Vaule SCNM.

    Also, try and get an augmented cape from the final moogle mission. I got this one but I've seen better out there:

    How much damage does a Hexa usually do when brewing? Anything special to equip for that?

    Not that great, about 5-6k even with RR/SS/GH atmas. Better off using Flash Nova.

    cool thanks, i have mars, the moogle hat has str 4 weaponskill acc 15 acc10 att 5, i think out of all the things listed the only one im gonna have trouble getting is the healers mitts +1 :/

    Does Flash Nova brew well (specifically vs Rani and Shinryu)? I have almost all the best MAB gear WHM can wear for that WS (Yigit Turban, Novio/Hecate's, Eradico Mitts, Searing Cape, Teal Saio, Witchstone, etc), and it was doing around 600-800 on trash mobs with Atma of the Beyond (might have had MM since I was soloing and either RR or Ultimate for the other atmas, can't remember). Cataclysm does around 2k with Pluto's Staff, lolgear, and Cosmos/Smiting Blow/Ultimate atmas vs. trash mobs.

    Flash Nova is typically what I use against Rani, and Shinryu, and it works very well. If need be you can easily take Rani down from 100% rotating Flash Nova and Hexa depending on TP moves/Spells from Rani. My flash novas do around 8k with a mab and mnd setup similar to the gear you have listed above. If I am intending to brew Rani, and I don't stumble upon it unclaimed, I'll have 3 mab atmas equipped.

    Kyaru's hexas were doing 8k-12k on Shinryu w/ RR/GH/MM, so 2/3 useful brewin atmas. Max was 12351 in that attempt.

    She hasn't tried brewing with Flash Nova and Atmas to boost that, but I'd imagine it would do well. If memory serves the one Flash Nova she did was either 5k or 6k dmg without any atmas to boost its damage, so it has potential. Beyond works better for it than most other elemental WS since it has both Light damage and MAB. I'd imagine Beyond/Holy Mountain/Ultimate along with MAB gear(ignore MND for brewing since you're capped at 999 regardless) would make it do well. Overall it doesn't seem as good as most newer elemental WS in the damage department though. That and TP doesn't affect its damage at all.

    I didn't find Flash Nova that great honestly when I brewed Shin. I have a LOT of MAB gear and had a couple of MAB atma (Beyond/Hell's Guardian). I could have taken one more but we had a group there for procs so Ihad to take Minnikin for fresh to keep them going and later switch into MAB gear. There was some random comment posted somewhere that Shinryu may resist it a bit but I don't know for sure. I was doing about 7k which seems a bit crappy compared to other options like Cataclysm. I'd probably go for that next time.

    Personally I went for (STR+4, WS Accuracy+15) (Accuracy+10 Attack+5) as my 2 augments for moogle hat. 25 acc in one slot is huge and allows you to focus more on attack in other slots. If you're not all that bothered about the acc you could go with increases crit damage one but 2% is a pretty tiny amount and I usually use RR and SS in abyssea so crit damage is already capped anyway.

    Rokugo will give you ~17 acc and 5 attack plus a chance at a Conserve MP proc as a bonus which is still good, probably 2nd best you can use for hexa.

    Maat's cap I'd use for Mystic Boon if I had one but not for hexa.

    First of all I have no idea why ppl are "blind" and see only crit dmg +2% on MKD hats when it comes to crit WS.. there is +2% WS DMG there which is far better and works always.
    Secondary what you mean 2% is low? I will use Logik base stats and Spooky WS set with improvements from your post for this math (it will be only approximate):
    STR 78+30(+40 cruor)
    MND 80+30(+40 cruor)
    Gamb base dmg: 74
    fSTR cap: 16
    fTP(including light belt and gorget): 6.2
    (298*0.2*0.85+74+16)=~140
    2% from 140 = 2.8
    2%WS dmg is equivalent of MND+16 or STR+16 (not counting att ofc)
    Still think that 2% is not much?
