Wow...so we were right about the old guy being grandpa Kuchiki, and seeing younger Byakuya as a hot-tempered kid was semi-surprising. And Gin, full of win. This arc is full of surprises and twists, epic. Can't help but wait for what's next.

It's been an interesting arc so far, but I don't know if I could stand 2 whole years of it.

Personally, I find this arc more interesting than most of the stuff I've read in the normal arc. I love the character.

Yeah, it's nice to see Bleach actually have an interesting story, aside from "Ichigo is a total badass and surprises everyone with his reiatsu and then owns them" which was basically the summary of the SS arc. I'm really liking the backstory here. Now I just need to get back into the Bleach anime, as I haven't watched it for about 2 months...

Since Rukia vs #9 fight, only one worth watching is the Grimmjaw vs ichigo one. Maybe when noitora come in too.

Now I'm just waiting to see if Kukkaku was a shinigami at one point and finding out whatever Yoruichi did for her to basically "owe her one" which resulted in her helping Ichigo and crew get into SS. And maybe if she still had both arms.

I'm much more interested in the plot that's weaving with Urahara, Mayuri, Yoruichi, Gin and Aizen atm... it is getting fucking epic. So Gin killed the third seat to get his position? That's bad ass. Gin ftmfw. I want MORE.

In the manga she only has her left arm. In the anime though, she has a fake right arm.

I never noticed she only had 1 arm and I've been reading the manga for a long time now, is it kinda obvious she doesn't have a right arm or does she hide it in her clothing?

The guy Arrancar #9 absorbed, the guy with the trident shikai that had the water stuff. The guy who was vice captain (lieutenant) of the squad Rukia was in. The guy trying to recruit him as VC was that old guy who is always coughing up blood who was the captain of the squad Rukia joined. No surprises there.

Eh, decent. If this will be anything like the Bount arc, the first 5 or so episodes will be slow and boring as hell, then it'll get better.

Latest chapter jumps forward 9 years, to the time when Urahara was banished from Soul Society. Chapter contains Kensei, Mashiro, Shinji, Urahara, Mayuri, and Hiyori... there are apparently souls of normal souls in Rukongai and shinigami souls disappearing at random. Not many more details at the moment.
