However its been revealed that Bach doesn't seem to mind that his SR army getting shit canned. He wants his essence back and seemed quite pleased when James was finally confirmed dead. Nodt is likely just more fuel for the fire, before some dynamic Ichigo entry... What any of it ultimately means only Kubo knows.

Well Rukia has to beat this guy. The next few fights have to reveal some new enemy trick or powerup to out-pace Rukia and gang. Byakuya will come in and show his boom-stick and face-stomp a guy or two once Rukia is in trouble. Then that will leave Kenny to come in and one-shot a fodder guy or 2 before having his "ultimate" fight against the #2 guy. That leaves Ichigo to fight one fodder guy to show the power of his new skills before finally fighting Bach.

I'm feeling like we technically won't see 26 letters after Bach's little baby backstory there.

Being generous (cause Soul Society got destroyed during the first invasion and I don't think they actually killed this many), let's say six Steinritters died initially and then four have died so far (Bambietta to Komamura, Cang essentially to Hitsuguya, BG9 to Soi Fon, and Mask to Reiji). That leaves sixteen. Yhwach will obviously face Ichigo, but that still leaves fifteen Steinritters.

Rukia's fighting this fear guy (1), Byakuya will inevitably return (possibly during this fight, but let's say separate for now) (2), Renji's fight against the guy following him (3), Kenpachi's return (4), and the guy in Mayuri's lab (5). As far as Bankais we still need to see, there's Shinji's (6), Love's (7), Hisagi's (8), Ukitake's (9), and Shunsui's (10). And don't forget Urahara's Bankai (11), maybe Yoruichi if she hasn't been forgotten (12), Ichigo's friends (probably shouldn't count them, but what the heck -- 13), and Grimjoww or whoever showed up (14). Oh, and there's also Ganju and the guys who were with him (let's say they're against one enemy) (15),

There could be multiple people involved in a single fight (Shunsui and Ukitake together, for instance), but that's still a long time and a lot of fights before we get anywhere.. I'm thinking two years, minimum, before this arc wraps up..
