    her "slow cooling" process doesn't really do anything as she slowly got to AZ but her Bankai looks more like it's an Instant freeze with pressure applied (so it's a freeze and a slice so unless your Deadpool your not coming back Dude)

    I took it as similar to the Silence in Doctor Who where you completely forget about them when you look away at first, but yeah it looks like altering perception by erasing himself visually from their mind and affecting their memories.

    Besides the power difference between shikai and bankai, she only sliced his shoulder the first time. This time it was a massive pressure wave extending from her body in an outward direction. It's like the difference between slicing someone with a sword and setting off a grenade.

    I like that it has drawbacks; the most obvious one being that she could kill herself pretty easily.

    Since Rukia just got her bankai, I'm assuming she hasn't mastered it yet. She'll probably be able to eliminate the problem of completely freezing herself and leaving herself vulnerable once she masters it. Maybe she will be able to use the freezing shockwave thing multiple times in quick succession once she does so.

    Unless we get another arc after this Rukia will never be seen using her Bankai again. That's the rules of Bleach.

    She's probably going to fight a higher tier Sternritter, whereupon she's going to bankai, show her limits, and then lose. Then she'll be bailed out by Byakuya or Ichigo.
