I thought it was a fairly entertaining episode. Of course, I'm confused as fk as to when it's supposed to be taking place. Or if it's taking place at all. Considering the presence of both Orihime and Ishida's new bow, I have a sneaking suspicion that at the end of the arc we're either going to see this princess girl staring into a snow globe, or that Yoruichi will wake up and find Kisuke taking a shower.
I have no idea anymore. I swear they had said this was taking place at the same time as the stuff in Hueco Mundo last episode when they were showing that new captain....but the fact that everyone is back in the real world now acting like nothing ever happened, it is just so confusing. >.<Originally Posted by Turambar
Based on the new intro having these filler characters and all the real world stuff in it as well, I am guessing this filler will be lasting way too long. ;/
imo it's just a random story that takes place at no specific time. The intro into the arc seemed to just say it was a seperate story and has nothing to do with the main story. I'm just thinking it as how most DBZ movies worked. the movie characters were caught up on abilities/memories up to a certain point in the anime, but try and find a place in the timeline to place the movie, pieces dont fit and none of it could have possibly happened.
They'll just narrator voice us back into Hueco arc like they did to put us into the filler.
It take place in a parallel universe that's located up the writer's ass. I wouldn't look much deeper into continuity than that.
We are interested in speaking in first person plural from now on, mostly because we are hungry.
I couldn't give two shits, and will thusly forego all of this filler.
Wake me up when the main story starts again![]()
I have to say I hate fillers, but I got a few good chuckles out of this episode. Namely Kurosaki Ishhin & the return of Rukia's badass drawings lol![]()
Actually I genuinely laughed quite a few times throughout the episode. Let's hope it keeps up without becoming boring filler. Also, random question: Anyone know the new ending song, stuck in my head

Kensei goes to check on Mashiro, Urahara goes with Hiyori, who had been working with Mayuri on something, to a Captain's meeting... at the end Kensei's team starts getting killed, the chapter ends with Kensei being stabbed from behind and saying "You..."
lots of shankings this chapter. dang.
What color sword was Aizen's/Gin's?
Also I don't remember anyone have a black sword unless it is just black from his blood. My first thought was Ichigo's sword is the only one that I could remember that was black.
Same thought I had, wtf time paradox Ichigo is stabbing people? But I bet there's an explanation.Originally Posted by Serif

If you look at the panels again, Yes, it looks like a black sword, but the captain thats stabbed also has a black-looking sword... so I wouldn't go by that alone. It's night time and such, blahblah.Originally Posted by Serif

What's the 69 on Kensei's Chest?

They're both 9th Division.
If written out in kanji I think it means "Muguruma's 9th Squad".
