This topic seems to come up every other week in this thread.

Many of the quincy alphabet people are not accounted for. Chad and Orihime are with Grimmjow in Hueco Mundo; Nel and Haribel are still there as well. The 3 stronger fullbringers are with cousin Shiba. Many of the other captains have only had speaking roles at the very beginning of the arc and have never shown bankai; other captains are recovering from their first battles and will be back (ice boy/dog man). Several other lieutenants are supposed to bankai (shuhei/already saw rukia and renji's new stuff). The Kisuke/Isshin/Yioroichi/Tessai group is doing something. Aizen.

Everyone will have to make an appearance and there is a lot left to showcase. At the pace Kubo is going there are at least another 2 years of combat alone - chapter after chapter focusing on their fruits of labor from the training during the time skip. Lots of "Here's my new ability!" and "Ow, your new ability is killing me!" for months. Everyone has enjoyed the return of Ken, but I've definitely enjoyed how Naruto is culminating more than what's becoming of Bleach.

Because Kubo's fights are predictable and follow a predictable formula.

One of my favorite things about Ken is how happy he is fighting, it cracks me up what an unmitigated badass he is while he laughs during the fight. Yet I kind of like how solemn he is in this fight. Shows more depth to his character.

How long have this arc been going on for? He said this arc will be larger than the Hueco Mundo arc, and that one lasted how long?

About 4 years? This arc still has like 2-3 years at least if he was serious.

Am I the only one dissapointed with Ken's entrance? Maybe I just over-hype him like everyone else, but I was hoping for him entering the zone and instantly killing/melting one of the baddies before having a "real" battle.

I'm really hoping it's just laying the groundwork for the king of all ass-whoopings in Bleach next week.

Also, so the implication is that his ability only works as long as he's thinking about it. So does that mean the two captains he imagined dead are still dead, or are they ok -- or did he imagine something that killed them?

I'm starting to doubt it will be. If the guy has to focus so much on him, I'm kinda expecting Yachiru or someone else to walk up behind him and stab him in the head. Maybe Isane.

I really hope that's not the case, because otherwise this fight will be dragging on even longer.. Can see it now -- Kenpachi powers up, bad guy powers up, Kenpachi loses, bad guy goes after Yachiru, real Kenpachi shows up, guy pushes him to Bankai, and by the end of the summer we finally move on to the next fight..

IDK, if anything I get the feeling that he's going to become more and more confused as to why he's not killing Zaraki, eventually Yachiru will kill him while he's occupied with Zaraki or becomes increasingly frustrated by Zaraki not dying, only to find out Yachiru has been using his own powers against him and the Zaraki was a fake.

I mean, Zaraki did show up really shortly after he explained how his power worked (Turning her bones into cookies), so she probably figured "Imagination = reality", boom Zaraki, she controls him through imagination (who knows Zaraki better?)... I mean that makes sense.

I just get the feeling this is Yachiru's fight, and she's playing him like a fiddle.
