I think this would be great. He has dropped several hints that his power works both ways.

Evidence towards Kenpachi just being part of Yachiru's imagination:

Still wearing eyepatch.

Not traditional Zaraki fight/entrance. (hasn't one shotted anyone, hasn't 'fear locked' anyone with his massive spirit energy)

The other Soul Reapers didn't sense him until the fight.

Evidence against:

Has knowledge that the real Zaraki has finally truly inherited the Kenpachi title by disposing of the other captain (but I guess this could be guessed/inferred?).

I don't know, I just really hope this isn't the real Zaraki after this long of a wait.

correct me if wrong, but if yachiru was imagining all of that, the guys outside wouldn't notice his reiatsu, would they?

Well the enemy makes imagination a reality, so the quincy would make a "real" Zaraki from Yachiru's imagination. The stone they're fighting on is real, and her bones "really" turned to cookies allegedly. It's not supposed to be just an illusion. So one would expect other people to feel his spirit energy after the quincy manifested him.

maybe so, but with the knowledge that his reiatsu has gone through the roof since the last time anyone saw him, i find it HIGHLY unlikely that he's learned how to hide such a massive increase.

The imaginary Kenpachi knowing he properly inherited the title can kinda be chalked up to Yachiru's imagination if we really wanna push it. Could be just Yachiru "wanting" to had have Kenpachi win against Unohana since both she and Isane were aware of what was going on between the two. I don't know, just guessing here lol.
