Nah, nobody has released bankai like that. There are several captains that dont have a release name for their shikai, but bankai, nah. even Yama had a release name for the fiery death that was his bankai.

So if the point of contention here is the guys below not feeling Zaraki's spirit energy until he got there, what's the possibility he put on his eyepatch WHEN he got there?
We know he was already crazy strong, and with knowing his sword's name now he's probably lightyears stronger. Back when Ichigo was fighting Aizen, Aizen mentioned his power got so high he had to lower it for anyone to sense him. Couldn't the same hold true for Zaraki? It's feasable he's so damn strong he's attained that level of power, and only was able to be sensed by everyone when he threw his eyepatch on.
Probably a crazy theory, but I'm just trying to think aloud why Kubo made a point of pointing out his spiritual pressure suddenly appearing besides Yachiru imagining him there.
If you master Bankai you can release your Shikai without a command. But Bankai thus far has always been released by saying Bankai.
Gred, i wanna see actual proof of that one. Not saying i disagree, i just wanna see it in black and white. And for Guitarman, Aizen didn't lower his power level so that people could purposely feel him; he noticed that when Ichigo appeared, nobody knew it, which made him speculate that he had gotten so strong that nobody could perceive his power.
Correct me if wrong, of course.
Like I said in the post, doesn't necessarily have to be her bankai, could also be her imagination. Vanishing Point was obviously a creation of Gremmy's imagination, Yachiru might have realized that after Gremmy's explained his power, and figured she could use his power in her favor and imagined Kenpachi to be there. She knows him better than anyone and would be able to perfectly mimic his behavior and spirit.
I'm just saying I'm not sure this is the actual Kenpachi, and that it's probably still Yachiru fighting him. She's a "kid" and quite playful, probably has a really good imagination.
Aizen's own spiritual power had been unsensible by people below him, as stated by Isshin in his fight with Cocoon Aizen. Aizen was purposefully lowering his power while roaming around Karakura so that people like Tatsuki could sense him.
As for bankai, there was a single instance of Ichigo using bankai without saying anything (when he used it prior to his 3rd fight with Grimmjow), but Ichigo's zanpaktou situation was weird back then, so I wouldn't take it as proof of anything.
Where was it again that Ken was fighting Unohana? Was it an alternate dimension or something? If so, might be why the guys didn't feel him before
Underground prison of Soul Society.
My thought is; he kills Unohana, talks with his sword. At the same time Yachiru is fighting creepy geezer. She gets hurt and her reiatsu waivers. Being that she's the only person Zaraki cares about and he's crazy protective of her, he senses she's in danger and books it out of the prison, throwing on his eyepatch just before breaking the wall down to do dynamic entry. No reiatsu felt until he's there because it's so high, he throws it on, reiatsu gets eaten up just enough for everyone to sense him (he still wants to enjoy his fight, after all), and we're where we are now.
Him being a figment of Yachiru's imagination kind of falls apart when she jumps off the platform to get healed by whats her face. Even if the enemy can imagine things for long distances, I seriously doubt the same would be true for his opponents.
I guess we'll see.
The longer this fight progresses, the less likely the "Yachiru's imagination generated this Kenpachi" theory has viability. Also, it wasn't just the lack of spirit energy sensing that lended credence to the theory. Kenny still wearing his eyepatch after explicitly shedding his need for hiding his power was odd, in addition to this being a non-traditional Kenny entrance and not what we expected from his new super power level up.
At the moment, I'm going to chalk it up to Kubo being a terrible writer, but I'm hopeful that I'm wrong.
Yachiru's power could be copying other people's powers! So she might be actually fucking with the guy's mind herself.
Or maybe not, that's Zaraki and the noobs below are just dumb.
This manga is getting harder and harder to want to read every week.
Yeah, I'm going with this explanation until proven otherwise. No reason to scrutinize every detail since that's the easiest explanation.
Spoiler: show
3rd panel, Byakuya suspects it. I think in the anime they more explicitly said it, but in the manga, it seems Renji used his Bankai before Byakuya could complete the sentence -- but it does seem like that's what he's about to say.
fair enough, I'll allow it. did you have fun digging through chapters? lol
also, YOU'RE NOT FUCKING GRED
Maybe I am! Also, Bleach-wiki citations made it take like 5 minutes, if that.
that's fucking cheating
also, i wouldn't claim to be gred
