I dont really think they need to cover Ishida's dad. he quit being a quincy before they were all killed off. we know mayuri did experiments on the quincy, but dont know if it was before or after he became a captain, so thoses events could have happened already. but yeah, still no Isshin.

I highly doubt Ishida's dad will be covered in this arc. Quincys are still just humans, so he wouldn't have nearly the same lifespan as the Shinigami/Vizard. Ishida's grandfather/teacher wouldn't even have been born at this point in time.

See I thought Kensei became transformed by him being stabbed. I forgot about Mashiro being there and I can assume she probably turned into a Hollow the same way, by being stabbed by the same person who did it to Kensei. It will be interesting who will show up that has more power than both of them, I assume Uraraha, to subdue them and help them make the transformation?

Sup guys. Awesome -102 chapter. Crazy way they explained how Tessai knows the Binding 99 Spells. He's pretty badassed, and he's probably as strong as Yama'ji if not a bit weaker.

I wanna know who stabbed Kensei-- the hollowfication is spreading like zombie blood bites, lol. And it'll be interesting to see if Urahara and Tessai get stabbed and hollowfied. At least we now know why they both got banished from SS.

Well, from what I remember of Ichigo's conversations with his inner Hollow, the Hollow and Zangetsu are basically the same entity, just with one or the other being dominant at the time. If this is true for all Shinigami (or all souls in general), perhaps being stabbed and nearly killed triggered Kensei's Zanpakuto/Hollow to react to defend him, the way Ichigo's used to.

Ishida's dad know Ichigo's father, and both live in the same town. We saw them talks casually at some point after they left to save Inoue. I would expect there was some important development at some point between both

Ichigo resisted part of the hollowfication, and the mask formed before the body did, making him a Vizard.

Would a Shinigami have a Soul Link? I thought the chain was meant to be the attachment between a soul and its body and once severed corrodes. After a Soul is purified, is there any sign it still exists? If Shinigami still have one then there would have to be a reason it doesn't corrode by itself, right?

Yeah, Shinigami have the same Soul Links just like a normal soul does, just that it's not visible. If you remember this part of Bleach after Byakuya beat Ichigo and destroyed his [Rukia's] Shinigami powers:

Urahara mentioned that his Shinigami powers were destroyed as well as his spiritual power, but that was actually Rukia's Shinigami power given to him, as you can remember him unlocking his own from the depths of his soul with his inner hollow. (And I do believe it's the booster that keeps one's soul from becoming a hollow.) As for the picture here's an inconsistency in how Urahara said "destroyed"-- he meant to say "sealed up," like what happened here when the gang first got to Soul Society:
