Even worse in my opinion. At least Orihime left to go to Hueco Muendo because she genuinely felt it would help to keep her friends safe, a nihilistic as fuck Ulquiorra promised her as much. Uuryu for whatever reason felt he can do everything on his own despite everything that's happened in the manga.

It looked like Bach's Key signal just signaled the other Quincies to go attack Ichigo. Was that not its purpose? Doesn't he just "become one" with the other quinces after they die and give him back their borrowed power?

As I understand Bach/Yhwach (Ywhach is stupid so I'm calling him Bach), all the Sternritter (and quincies in general) have powers that were originally Bach's in some capacity. Each one is a part of him. Somehow he's about to reclaim all those pieces of his soul (by sending everyone to suicide into Ichigo?) which is what the "time to be one with me," line was about.

How exactly he's going to accomplish that is the real mystery. He could just be sending all the remaining Sternritter to throw themselves at Ichigo knowing none of them stand a chance, or there could be some other kind of ritual type deal involved (since we know he was able to remotely absorb/kill all the half-blood quincies). I'm still really interested to see what his plan for Uryuu is, as well as Uryuu's true plan (and what power did he get from Bach?).

Also I thought Burner Finger Man was fighting Shinji/Momo/Omaeda? So either he gibbed them (not likely) or comically bailed on the fight to kill himself against Ichigo.

The fact is there are many side-characters that still need to fight and show off their powers so it sounds a bit premature to have the final boss already(all quincies into 1). Hmm...

Agreed. A few pages ago (maybe more than a few..) didn't we go through all the people who still had to fight. I think in the time since, we've only seen Renji, Rukia, and Kenpachi fight, and if I remember correctly, the count was over twenty back then.

While we do have a lot of people to see fight still, fullbringers and Aizen and a few others... Bach is hardly the final boss. We still have the Spirit King theyve been building up since Aizen's time.

Anyway, didn't Kubo say this arc would take place in an "ice palace" or whatever? I assumed it's the Quincy's base that they're going to invade. I suppose it could be the king's palace, there must be some reason everyone wants that fucker dead...
