Um? We talking about the same Chad here? His problem has always been he is too slow to keep up with his enemies.

He's almost always been shown to "nearly" overwhelm his opponents (with the exception of one) but had one glaring advantage in his fight that made him lose:

1) Shunsui - Faster, dodged his full-power attack
2) D-Roy - Faster, caught Chad by surprise
3) Nnoitra - Tougher, had tough skin that made Chad's attacks pointless (also stated by Tesla that had he allowed Chad to use the final attack Nnoitra might have been seriously injured)

Problem with Chad isn't that he isn't strong. It's that he constantly holds back. It hasn't changed much since he talked about his Abuelo taking hits for him because Chad wasn't willing to hurt other people.

Orihimme has no excuse. She's an idiot, plain and simple. Chad? Kubo just doesn't know what to do with his character, so instead of making him a Piccolo he makes him a Krillin.

Chad always reminded me of Zaraki. Everyone else in the series is Flash-Stepping around and whipping out gimmicky moves. He just punches the motherfuckers and overwhelms everyone he fights.

I guess it's not terribly surprising that humans with high spirit potential would have befriended Ichigo. And Chad/Oriheme's powers are unique in that they were triggered/evolved due to contact with the Hogyoku.

Still, I only see Chad having one real fight (to show off his new full body transformation). Only question is: Who is he fighting? I almost expect Ichigo/Chad/Oriheme to travel to the Palace together (reminiscent of their first decent into the Soul Society).

I could see this happening... all 3 of them travel there, which could play out in 3 ways.

1) Ichigo fights Second-in-commad guy, Big bad gets away to soul king... Chad/Ori have to fight Ishida
2) Ishida decides "now" and turns back to good side, fights second in command guy with Chad/Ori while Ichigo goes for Bach
3) Ichigo/Ishida go for Bach while Chad/Orihime hold off Second-in-commad dude.

Thats assuming they get up there... my guess is honestly #1, because they're probably going to draw out Ishida's betrayal (and possible coming back to the good side) for as long as possible...
