Well to be fair his clothing isn't a soul key, it's just a device to allow him to withstand the significant spiritual friction on the way down.
Whether there is a meaningful difference between a key and a 'low friction bone suit,' is beyond me.
I guess that's my question:
Is the only reason the canon worked the first time because the Zero Division had a key with them, and thus the canon just acted as a method of transportation?
Thus, now we don't have a key, and we're just going to load up the canon with a fuck ton of energy (gathered from the dimensional rifts) to just force our way in?
I guess it doesn't matter, I'm just frustrated with how easy it is to get into the Palace after the Aizen arc. If you can just force your way in, Aizen would have been in ages ago.
Yhwach made it pretty clear that Ichigo is wearing the actual King's Key in chapter 585.
you mother fuckers. how are you forgetting details from not even a full 6 weeks ago? This shit was JUST explained.
PETA approved.Yhwach made it pretty clear that Ichigo is wearing the actual King's Key in chapter 585.
Grimmjow is dead
It's called the King's key, but it's not the "soul king's personal key" from what I read. It was made, using Zero Division's bones and hairs, and just lets him penetrate the barriers with less friction.
Like I said, I'm not sure if there is a meaningful difference between a "soul key" and the suit he is wearing.
Does a soul key become part of the person who makes it? Thus making the King's Key from the hair/bones of zero devision create a similar access device?
@abandon:
I know it's only be 6 weeks, but it's been a long 6 weeks for me for various reasons.
There is no actual physical key called the King's Key or the Soul Key. The bodies of the 5 Royal Guards are literally the King's Key, as explained by Ichibei in the chapter where Ichigo and co go to the Royal Realm. The Spirit King infuses their bodies with his power or essence or whatever, which turns them into living King's Keys. Aizen wanted to manipulate the 100,000 souls of Karakura town to create life in such a way that it imitated the King's Key.
The clothing that Ichigo is wearing is made out of the bones and hair of the Royal Guards, which makes it the King's Key as well.
you are all making me want to commit genocide
Going back to the topic of the fights; I'm kind of torn. On one hand, I'm disappointed Yumichicka and Ikkaku are out of it; it would be fun to see those two fight the zombie together. On the other hand, Mayuri's fights are always epic. tough call.
He's gonna be a massive troll again -- I have high hopes for this one.

He is going to have his own Zombie. A stitched upon monstrosity of the 2 bodies that he found in Hueco Muendo
That's a man, baby!
Made me erection
If somehow this ever gets animated that part will have to be changed lol.
