    Yeah, just goes to show that everyone respected the fact that Hitsu is still a captain, zombie or not. I would not have been surprised if Yumichika was attempting to use Bankai as well.

    It always pissed me off as well, but you knew it was that entire pride thing and standing "beside their captain" BS, who probably wouldn't give a flying fuck if they both had Bankai anyways.

    Eh, he hid it because of the division he is in. 95% of that division is zombified and the captain and vc are presumed dead right now so he really has nobody left to hide it from. Now that I've seen Hitsu as a zombie I'll look forward to seeing Kenpachi as a zombie....all will die by the hand of zompachi!

    That - and I don't think now is the time to be holding back because of pride.

    I highly doubt people would go "lolyourbankaiisn'tphysical" once all is said and done and they've won.

    I'm also curious... Diddn't Ikkaus Sword break like 5times already? Who else has had there sword broken and "nerfed" ever since we found out the broken sword info in Soul King land?

    Yumi has technically never bankai'd, either. The whole sword name shit was just all (OP) shikai stuff.

    His Bankai is supposed to be a fraction of its power as a result of his fight with the volcano guy. Don't think anything was said about his Shikai. It kinda puts another take on his fight against the whale guy in Karakara town though. Also, reread the chapter and Yumichka only uses his second Shikai after Ikkaku is down (and unconscious?).

    Hide it from who? Ikkaku? The way he reacts implies he already knows and even if he didn't, it's obvious that no one is there to fuck around with Zombie-giya.

    As for broken Bankais, Renji, Byakuya, Ikkaku, and Mayuri all had theirs broken. Mayuri modifies his own so it never mattered, Renji and Byakuya had theirs fixed in the Soul Palace, so Ikkaku is the only one still currently handicapped.

    I still think Ikkaku doesn't know. The few panels before show Ikkaku knocked the fuck out flat on his face with Yumi seeing it. So he instinctively was like "fuck this pride shit now!" At least that's the impression I got.
