It seems he is already using his sword to manipulate. I guess it can start to show us it's true power. However, it also makes me think, maybe tousen and gin are under his control, and still are with where we are at in the actual story... I mean, why would tousen and gin willingly do this... I'm also starting to think that Gin might be really insanely powerful. Aizen taking a liking to him when hes a kid, keeping him under his wing, it's alot of potential.

It does seem he can use his sword to make SS think these hollow forms are their own doing and they can be "banished" or what not, or possibly thought to be exterminated. Considering everyone at the scene is being hollowfied/killed, there is no evidence other than what Aizen says happened. He could potentially blame it on Urahara and the black dude to get them expelled as well. Lots of ways to go with this.

Another thing, after hollowfied, could they potentially be fooled or controlled by aizen even more? I mean, people were mentioning how they can live as vizards in karakura and not mention anything to SS saying Aizen is a liar, well maybe he made them forget - which means senji never "feeling" ichigo's dad's reiatsu could be false.

well, Aizens ability is hypnotism. not Mind control or Memory rewriting.
there's also the fact that you need to "see" aizen release his shikai to be under his influence. which means Tousen can't be hypnotized. Tousen stated his reasons for helping Aizen, tho I do think he was influenced to feel that way by Aizen by other means aside from his shikai.

Craaaaaazy guess time: the shinigami killed by Gin a few chapters back was Tousens friend that he talks about dieing, and aizen lied about how he died. tho.. I can't remember if he talked to dog-face about his friend before they joined the shinigami school. if he did, then nvm.. since he is already in a squad.

Gin joined Aizen just because he's a sick demented fuck (not that i dont like him for it).

Tousen wasn't a Vice Captain, Souj. Mashiro is VC under Kensei. It's makes Tousen even more powerful theoretically however; means he was holding back in the past as a lesser seated officer before he became a captain. Also, I think -99 is the last negative chapter for now, this side-story already seems to be winding down. Since we know enough about what happened in the past with the Vizard, it'll be easy to add in more plotlines and story as Aizen & Crew attack Karakura Town.

On the note of Vizards and Arrancars, could they both be created the same way just a different outcome for each? Reason I say that is because in the last panel, Nel mentions that they were humans first...

and the Evolution nell is talking about, everyone, shinigami and hollow, start off as humans. what happens to their souls after they die determine what they become.

I have a feeling that once the Karakura battles end Aizen will either use another way to obtain the King's Key or it will turn out to be just another ploy to get something else. Ichigo will turn out to really be a royal member of soul society who was born as a human, Orihime will be like Hachi's cousin and a princess of soul society, and after lots of plot holes and nobody dying, Ichigo and Orihime will become the new king and queen of soul society.[/spoiler:yfx2ejqc]

You can tell their half-assing the drawing of this filler arc (especially the fights), I just hope it's so the last batch of hueco-mundo fights can be epic and not sheer laziness.
