    I think either Zombie person(?) is mad that Pepe caused his/her friends to attack each other, or Mayuri has found a way to sorta counteract the zombification and we're going to have a Shawn of the Dead type ending.

    Even before that, Byakuya got dinged several times and seemed unaffected. Why? It also seemed like a perfect opportunity to have Komomura show up again since he has no heart right now(?), but I'll take Kensei action where I can get it, I guess.

    mabye I never noticed but did fights jump around this much in other arcs? at least kubo is good at making me fucking hate antagonists. Can't wait to see this fat fuck and that giselle douche get torn to shreds.

    MS version makes slightly more sense. I think based on the marks on Kensei/Rose's faces that Mayuri found a way to mess with Gizelle's power thanks to whatever drug he tested on Toshiro. Byakuya not "loving" anything making him immune to L's power is pretty weak though. This guy seems tailor-made for Komomura (whose victory against Bambietta made almost as little sense).

    No, not really. There was the occasional fight that we didn't see the end of (Byakuya and Zaraki v Yami come to mind), but for the most part, I think Kubo would focus on a single fight from start to finish. I think the only times he's really left a fight before it finished was when fights hit a lull (like when Hitsuguya thought he had defeated Harribel only for her to break out when Aizen told her to).

    Oh right, it's been a while, I forgot everything that happened during that arc.. Regardless, I felt she could have broken out whenever she wanted given how unscathed she appeared afterwards.

    And point still remains, Kubo did not previously jump around this much.

    The jumping around between fights doesn't really bother me. It's the what the fuck happened to xxx character(s) from xx chapters ago.
