It just dawned on me that the Glutton (whose name I cannot be bothered to look up, and I'm pretty sure has only been uttered once) and Minnie seem to have vanished this chapter, because that weirdo is only using Hisagi to attack Byakuya.

That's exactly what is boggling my mind about these last 20-30 chapters! There's so much fighting going on between the sternritters because of these dumb powers they posses. They all have the same fricking goal! No!?!?? They could have had a 6v1 vs Byakuya? Kubo is the worst shit in all the 7 kingdoms. -_-

Dead zombies supposedly look different than living zombies.

Hitsugaya is alive. Kensei and Rose look a lot different than he does. They also can't speak and have no pupils.

Either they're dead or Mayuri's changes are the cause of the differences.

The explanation given in this chapter suggests that the difference in colour is due to the level of their spiritual pressure, not necessarily whether they're dead or alive. Toshiro spoke, though, which could mean he's still technically alive, while Rose and Kensei have yet to speak and also have those blank eyes, meaning they're probably dead. We haven't seen enough of Rangiku to guess whether she's alive or dead, but the absence of both her and Toshiro in this chapter implies (to me, anyway) that they're alive and being treated by someone. Which would be a pretty generous move on Mayuri's part, giving up such a useful zombie.

We know that Rose and Kensei were full on dead earlier, so that makes sense.

In his defense, Imagination Station could have been the absolutely strongest of them and if the kid was still alive, everyone else would have been killed by him.

This fight is such a clusterfuck because people from both sides are jumping over their own teammates to get at the other side. Nobody gives a shit about anyone else on their side right now, so its just a battle of "let me get mine, at least", which is something I rarely see in manga.

Its interesting.
