I put money on it that Kubo will convert this into canon somehow. The beard gives him power.

It probably is Canon. The beautiful stache grows as more of his fodder die and their powers are returned to him with whatever XP they gained. Its like a general sending out soldiers, giving a fraction of his power to each. Whatever XP they gained while slaughtering in his name is added to the power he originally lent to them, and all of it goes back into him when they die.

Someone needs to make an RPG that works like that.

I'm not going to come in here and say I noticed the progression, but I did remember his stache being like it is in 485, peachfuzz at the start.

It was said that if Yhwach doesn't lend out parts of his soul and get it back, he'll regress into an infant again. Apparently that means that as more of his sternritter die and give him their powers, the opposite holds true and he'll age; in addition to his moustache, his face seems to look older with more aging lines as the chapters go by.

Kamikake is divine bet or gamble. Could be one of Kyoraku's abilites used on Ukitake >_>?

Would be cool if Kyoraku chillaxed til they invaded the king's palace, to increase the odds of this ability to succeed.
