I love his artwork. I just think he has issues connecting his story. Individually his arcs lack cohesion and compelling stories, and it shows when he always uses "dat panel" and the same fight progressions of "true powah".

I have zero issues reading Bleach every week because it's pretty easily one of the (if not the) best drawn mangas around. As someone who dabbles in drawing from time to time, he's the artist I look to the most when trying to learn how something might look.

Naruto is the same way. The difference between the start and end of the manga is pretty drastic.

Toriyama made trunks look a lot older when he was put into Dragon Quest 8.

I'm trolling/mocking, I know they're different characters. I'm probably a minority but I hate Toriyamas art style. I get that characters will look rather similiar with the same artist but for me they look near-identical with him

I think a better comparison would be to look at his early Dragonball to later Dragonball (or DBZ). If you look at Fairy Tail, Mashima's drawing has changed a bit, but it's a lot more noticeable if you look at early Rave Master compared to later Rave (or FT).

Yeah, people aren't really Toriyama's strength. Even his monsters can kinda look repetitive after a while.

I prefer the older designs of the female characters especially Orihime. Though I like Rukia's current hairstyle better.
