Actually, given the fact that the only other person we've seen dual wield is a Split Soul Quincy/Shinigama, it's not a stretch to think they have similar link to the Quincy.

Though I think this is unlikely since their swords appear to be similar to each other, rather than two distinct entities.

We have 2 Captains, whom are still alive and have yet to fight recently, that dual wield at least.

Watch them both be projections of the SK sent down because he was bored/dreaming, but now that his body's been injured, they'll all poof back, heal him, then reunite as single entity to buttfuck Ywach and maybe give us an idea as to why Aizen was so scared of him. He'll also get 4 arms so he can quad-wield with all their zanpakuto abilities.

Anyone notice aizen and the soul king look alike? It makes me wonder if the reason they didn't kill aizen was because he was a decendant of the soul king? Which would explain why his sword's power was so op. It also would add more reason for the quincy leader to have went specifically to recruit him. Also wouldn't be surprised if the manipulation ability his sword did is similar to what the soul king used to keep everything in soul society balanced <_<

Considering Ukitake is the right hand, we have potential for 3 more to complete the megazord known as the spirit king. Glad to see Urahara not know something for a change though. And Shunsui and Aizen. . . I'm thinking he's just getting information rather than releasing. Important thing to find out is WHY he wanted to replace the king like he did.

So what just happened:

1) "Earthquakes" are happening (worlds are tearing themselves apart) on Soul Society, Hueco Mundo and Earth, but only spiritually tuned people can feel them.
2) Yhwach wants to reduce the worlds into absolute nothingness.
3) Kubo is channeling the fuck out of Fullmetal Alchemist with this Mimihage business.
4) Kubo likely always intended Ukitake to be the ultimate Deus ex machina/retcon to solve any bullshit plot involving the Soul King (such as current plot).
5) Aizen will likely come out of this as a good guy with the ultimate "I told you so, motherfuckers" moment.
