That's why Nel was looking for the opening. I assume the comment about being one heck of a return trip has to do with the fact that she's going to have to somehow get herself, Kisuke, Yoruichi, and Yuuichi (or whatever the fuck her brother's name is) back out through the same hole.

Askin isn't dead yet, he's just explaining how -- because he's in a weakened state being so nearly dead -- he can no longer focus on regulating the quantity of poison released inside the death ball.
He was withholding just enough as not to be overtaken by the toxin itself. Now, its flow uninhibited, all inside the death ball will perish.

No one in there is as close to death as Askin and Shihoun boy, who were both dealt lethal blows. I'm curious how Nel's going to get them all out of there as well. She needs to start by spitting on Kisuke.

We will learn that her ability to absorb other Ceros to use for Cero Doble wasn't actually specific to ceros and she can absorb all kinds of stuff like other powers or poisons. So she will suck in everything to spit into Askin. She then will of course spit on everyone for good measure.
