Wonder if there is a penalty for Hitsugaya's new form/attack. The only other reason I can think of, is the ability not being "matured" yet. Unless there is some other valid reason he didn't use this ability at some point sooner.

What a left turn. Didn't expect Hitsu to be anything but fodder. We haven't really seen Byakuya go all-out since his healing/training with Kirin in Sky, so I thought he would be the only potential threat if Kenny were to go down quick. Color me surprised. Rhetorically.

He probably can't make the petals vanish faster than they do naturally, so he never used it because all the fights either didn't last long enough (Yukio, Cang Du, Mayuri), or he didn't have his bankai (Bazz).

It's shonen. Just one bildungsroman for teenaged boys after another. A blanket theme in all shonen is young people wanting to be given the same respect/responsibilities as their adult colleagues.

More juxtaposition between Ichigo and Ken. Zangetsu was holding Ichigo's body together because his bankai's speed was breaking his bones.

Yachiru was holding Kenny's body together because his bankai's power was breaking his bones.

I hope this wasn't Kenpachi's peak... since defeating Unohana he has needed someone else to finish his fights two times already. Unless, hopefully, we see him wreck something one more time before Bleach's story line ends.

Pretty hyped for Toshiro's new form, can't lie. Looks a bit like he fused with Hyorinmaru.
