Naw looks like just his sword arm an little of that side. Last slash still shows the rest of him all on one side of it.
Spoiler: show
Zaraki is always getting his arm wrecked or torn off. It's really the only way to nerf him. If not this, pierce him in the chest and it somehow incapacitates him.
Getting your arm ripped off is the token "he'll be alright" injury of Bleach.
I don't see Kenny doing much more now, but maybe we'll get some more dialogue later to clarify his relationship/powers.
Hoping ice-boy has something more interesting up his sleeve than just being stronger now.
He's a man now!

Just noticed he had horns. Anyway, his skin didn't turn back white so his Bankai is still active and he'll probably get back up and use his dominant left arm which he's been hiding the whole time!
I was surprised this week that all the fanboys here weren't pissed that Kenny got beat. Well, technically he didn't lose his body just gave out then Odin (that's what I'm calling him now) hit him with his sword or there was something that fell on him. I wasn't sure what exactly happened in that panel. Then all of a sudden Hitsugaya transforms and now it looks like he's going to be the one to kill the giant. I'm not exactly happy about that.
I think we've all learned by now that just because Kenny gets grievously injured and goes down doesn't mean he's out. I half expect him to rejoin the fight in some ridiculous fashion while ignoring his wounds. Like maybe picking up his sword arm with his other arm and swing sword arm with sword lol
I don't even really like Zaraki, nor the trope he represents.
If Toshiro is the one to kill Miracle Whip, no one should be upset. He needs to get a clean win under his belt at some point before the end of the series.
This whole bit is beyond absurd though. Miracle man beat Toshiro and Kuchiki at once, and he JUST GOT A POWER UPGRADE FROM ZARAKI! Now all of a sudden Toshiro has some trump card he never hinted at ever having before? I mean I know that's a very popular trope in the series but it's still absurd as all hell.
I think it's fair to assume Toshiro's new form comes with a (heavy?) cost which is why he wouldn't have mentioned it beforehand. It's not something he wants to use.
He was faced with death, even teaming up with another (arguably stronger) captain and still getting stomped. Showed no signs of making this move and was letting Zaraki do his thing instead of potentially preparing for it. Now Zaraki is getting beaten and he's being sucked into this "final" form. It's all absurd. But I probably just need to stop giving Bleach any thoughts after I finish reading the chapter each week.
What's absurd about it? It's a power he's always had but just never got the chance to use. As someone mentioned before, he's either lost or won whatever fight before he even lost the second ice flower and there's no speeding it up.

Well there is the fact that in the past when his petals were getting low he's made statements that implied he needed to finish the fight before they were gone definitely suggesting that it was more of a time limit to a power down than a power up. Plus some of those harder fights would've been so much easier if he had just stalled until he got there. Clearly he's just a Toys R Us kid
I mean didn't he train really hard before this arc, meaning he could have literally just unlocked/mastered this power during that training.. yah?
Consider this transformation is permanent: what if he must discard a portion of his shinigami lifespan as a toll to use the ability we're about to see?
Shinigami bodies last centuries. Had he a mortal body, the transformation looks like it's only aged Toshiro a few years; as a shinigami, it would be sacrificing many decades.
Might explain why he's never used it in combat. I figure he's probably going to revert to his younger form though.
Hardly consider myself a "fanboy" but I hate that Zaraki got beat. However at this point it's pretty readily apparent Kubo is just hurriedly rushing through the loose ends as fast as he can to wrap up Bleach. I mean, we've seen more Bankais in the past 3 months than we have in 3 years. Zaraki losing is just a foil to showcase other character's last few powers so he can close the book on the series, so to speak.
Pretty much.
