So Ichigo should be able to:

Use Cero at will.

Use Blut Vein/Volstag/manipulate Reishi.

Shinkai/Bankai.

I can't even tell right now however, is he/was he in Bankai form? We know has a new Getsuaga move (cross attack), but we don't know more about his new powers beyond the fact that he's stronger.

He should honestly be stronger than FTG Ichigo now, but we know that's not the case.

Ichigo definitely hasn't used bankai yet, and he might not even be in shikai, either. I wouldn't be surprised if his special snowflake situation with Zangetsu and fake!Ywhach both being sources of his power make him have two swords when unreleased.

Every other unreleased blade looks like a basic katana, and Ichigo can use his Getsuaga move in his current form, so he has to be in at least Shikai form.

Are we getting a chapter this week or does golden week extend?

Not true. Many have unique designs around hilts for one like Toshiros, Kensei and Gin both had wakizashis, then Ichigos old one was that cleaver thing, Kenpachi's has that huge ass nodachi, Shunsui has a daisho pair, Ichibe has a huge calligraphy brush etc

Toshiro, Kensei, and Gin's (and even Kenpachi's) unreleased zanpakto were all plain looking katanas. I'm not talking about "oh their hilts were different, or they're slightly different lengths/designs."

There's a clear difference between a decorated katana and a fully released Shikai.

Um those aren't "slight" differences and they are what make them not katana's anymore. Don't think they stated the lengths in the series but wakizashis for example are tend to be more like long knifes at 1-2 ft while Nodachi are more along the lines of 5-6 ft long. At best you can say they are all (I think) Japanese style swords without hugely different shapes like most shikai

That's not even counting the fact that every other soul reaper used an Asauchi as a base for their zanpaktou (except maybe like, Ichibei, if Nimaiya hadn't invented them yet), while Ichigo just materialized his out of pure energy. It wouldn't be surprising if his swords were unique even when unreleased.

Isshin used Getsuga Tenshou without releasing his sword, so Ichigo being able to use it doesn't necessarily mean that he's in shikai, either.

Also, he's never used a Cero knowingly/willingly. The same goes for the Quincy type skills mentioned. His reishi (sp?) manipulation was confirmed shit tier by Onohana (rest her twisted big tittied soul).

He's broken as fuck and I totally agree with you but for the things he can do, he trained or at least was coherent when they were shown to him as demonstration.

Pretty sure Ichigo is in shikai. No reason to believe he isn't.

Probably. In one of the panels this week you can see the 2nd sword at his hip. I'm guessing that even with full control of his powers, his reiatsu is still so overwhelming he's in constant shikai.

I agree with you. Considering what we know about how a base zanpaktou is meant to look and act, it only makes sense that Ichigo's blades are already in their Shikai.

My only hang-up is that this is the ONLY form we've ever seen them in -- the very form in which Ichigo extracted them directly from Kirin's forge:

But again, I think they're already released.

I'm still bothered by the fact that Ichigo doesn't paralyze 90% of the characters in the franchise with the sheer amount of his spirit energy. He should be on par (or higher) than Aizen. He's way stronger than Kenny.

People should freak the fuck out when he's even semi close.

iirc with Aizen it was unless they allowed others to sense it and when they did it totally paralyzed people.

But from what I remember pretty much every other case of someone being paralyzed by strong spirit energy there was some kind of strong will/intent driving it not just the willy nilly release everywhere thing Ichigo does. Like Kenny's battle lust or Yamamoto's anger or Aizen's idk complete contempt for everyone. The people and emotions of a person effect the feel of their Reiatsu and with it probably why kind of effects it has on someone.

Ya, I always justified it as "Kenny has a ton of spirit energy and it's always 'sharp'/focused," and there was moments where Ichigo was hurting BigTits during his SS2 fight. But either way, normal people shouldn't even be able to get close to Ichigo.

A better example was from the first major arc with the OG Captain Commander vs the 2 Captains. All was cool til he was ready to throw down (not just his anger).

That's actually what I was referring to with Yamamoto. Dude was flexing his reiatsu but was also mad as fuck and about to spank the children
