Wow, what a great chapter! I always love it when once again Ichigo loses his powers and everything he gained and the big bad once again steals all the powers of everyone else and everything they gained and then we're left with another "chase the bad guy" arc.

Entire chapter is bad guys standing over the good guys; hashbrown standing over a bloodied uryuu, hax quincy boss standing over ichigo, big odin dude wreaking havoc. Panel shows the strange black lightening effect gathering around ichigo's body.

So, essentially, nothing happens. AGAIN.

The big giant dude turned to a skeleton right in front of Toshiro then was absorbed into Ywach's being.

Also how was he absorbing (if that's what he was doing) Ichigo's Hollow side? I could maybe see the Quincy side (doesn't make since if he's not scrifted, but still). Did he really absorb Ichigo's powers, or just basically destroy his will?

The absorbed hollow powers from Ichigo is going to eat Yhwach from the inside out, or at least cripple his ability in some way.

Somewhat bittersweet to see confirmation of the end of Bleach after all these years. Yeah it has a bazillion and one problems with the story, but there's still a level of emotional investment.

I think Johan only took his underlings' abilities, leaving their husk bodies behind. E.g., we don't explicitly see Hash or Ishida-kun vanish/dissolve like Gerard:

Further, it would stand to reason the only thing holding Gerard's mononoke plasma forest spirit body together was his aschetonig, so when Johan took that, it explains why he sorta just disintegrated: he no longer had a mortal body to cling to w/o that power.

No fucking idea why that would cause Ichigo to lose his inner hollow.

Am I full of shit, or does anyone else feel this way?

He got his quincy and hollow powers both from his Mom, so it makes sense that White is linked to his quincy powers. The question is what happens to his Shinigami powers since his hollow is also his zanpaktou.

It's funny you say that, because in traditional Chinese/Japanese lore, there are 4 heavenly kings representing the cardinal directions, but in Japan they sometimes add the 5th:

North - Genbu - Black Tortoise
South - Suzaku - Red Bird (Phoenix)
East - Seiryu - Blue Dragon
West - Byakko - White Tiger
Center - Ouryu - Yellow Dragon

Which they fucked up in FF11 with Kirin being the center up there, and Ouryu having no relation to the sky gods whatsoever.
