I mean, he did spend about 5 or 6 pages a few chapters ago explaining how future events are like bubbles, pearls or some shit.

Did Kubo read 8-Bit Theatre before? He's basically ripping off the whole "Warriors" of Light vs. Sarda angle: Sarda powers them up and then later beats the shit out of them, claiming he wanted them to become strong so that they'd always know that no matter how strong they became, he'd always be stronger. Then he strips and absorbs the powers, becomes all-powerful (even moreso than he already was, which was OP from the start)... and lets them go, with the caveat that at any place and time across the rest of their existence, he could simply swoop in and fuck their day up.

This is literally the same thing, haha, and that comic was out years ago.

The final explanation was that Ichigo's uncontrolled power awakened the Hogyoku (which was implanted inside Rukia at the time, and thus nearby), and the Hogyoku responded to Chad's and Orihime's wishes to protect their friends by awakening their dormant abilities (Fullbring for Chad, not mentioned but probably also Fullbring for Orihime).

Most likely nothing is going to be really explained, because they just announced that Bleach is ending in about 5 chapters. They're 5 chapters into the current volume, 74, which was announced as the last one.

So unless there's some huge epilogue or sequel manga we're about to see a rushed ending unlike anything ever imagined.
