I don't get why everyone is making such a huge deal out of Komamura using Bankai to kill off a fraccion. The dude just kicked the living shit out of Ikkaku, a supposed elite fighter (who has Bankai himself), and destroyed a pillar.

Komamura has always said he fights seriously and if the entire mission is at stake do you really think he wants to waste time with a fraccion? Hell no, he's not going to pull a Byakuya and not want to waste his true strength on an unworthy ant. He's not going to pull an Ikkaku and hold back because he can't swallow his pride. He's not going to pull a Tousen and toy around instead of finishing off his enemy, and he's not going to be Kenpachi and hold back his full fighting strength to make the fight less boring.

There is a lot at stake with this fight, and Komamura is all the more bad-ass for crushing an ant when he had the chance instead of letting more damage be done. He did what should always be done in a high-risk situation - crush the opposition immediately and with no restraint, otherwise you may lose more than you bargained for.

Edit: Also, everyone is saying he had to use Bankai to finish off the enemy - the truth is he didn't have to. He caught Po's released form with one hand (while he was unreleased, I might add) and threw him across the field. I think it's safe to say Komamura used Bankai to end it quickly.

I only care about stark, don't care about anyone else at all. Not aizen, not ichigo. I just wanna see some teleporting cause it's been a long time since I've seen the Cell saga and I know bleach and naruto are going to do it soon.

I was taking Boyiee's statement of "why does a captain have to use bankai on a fraccion" as him needing to use it. It was in answer to that statement.

I just think it's dumb that everyone has to bankai or something. Especially on an opponent who should be the same level as the other 3 fraccion that got beat with shikai.

It's an excuse to use it, sure get it done right, and do it fast i understand that. But worrying about the pillar getting damaged, and then going hulksmash is lol. Like mentioned, powerlevels change every 10 seconds in bleach and it's retarded. I can't stand when they drag bullshit like this out. Oh drama, someone didn't win. There are still like 10+ fights lol...

Komamura: Look here captain redshirt, these things aren't bullets. I'm not gonna run out of iron giant beads anytime soon. And if that showoff Byakuya can pull out a random bankai during a threeway fight with a friggin Bount and not even kill him, I can damn sure afford to pull mine out to get trash like this dead in a hurry. Besides, these things ain't bullets here. Now quit your bitching and try to make yourself useful for a change.

It is, except filler fight between Kariya and Byakuya never really happened... you see, in the fillers the anime team actually gives people want they want: less Ichigo and more Shinigami. Unfortunately, they all but cut Orihime, Ishida, and Chad out of the arc completely.

Wait, I can't really tell if you're serious here. That would also mean we'd rather see Shuuhei vs. random Fraccion than Ichigo vs. Grimmy. Although I suppose if we were actually designing a whole arc it might end up being more like the sealed sword frenzy thing, where EVERYONE gets to fight (for a few seconds at least).
