Aizen was talking to Gin before and had stated he was wanting to perfect the Espada and recruit Vasto Lordes... it's safe to assume either the top 3 or 4 Espada are Vasto Lordes and will mow over most of the Captains now... or that the top 3 or 4 Espada are close and Aizen wants them gone so he can bring out the real ones.

I personally believe Aizen hasn't recruited enough and given the attitudes of the Espada 1-3, they are most likely Vasto Lordes.

I'm a little curious as to why Vasto Lorde's alone never attack the real world or anything. I think I vaguely remember them mentioning it in either the anime or the manga. If anyone remembers please refresh my memory.

Because they're only found in Hueco Mundo and apparently have no interest in the human world, since they can sustain themselves just fine by consuming hollows.

Don't they have to consume an outrageous number of hollows though? Like with the grimjow flashback, they just nonstop were consuming hollows, and vasto's would need lots and lots more...

and I'm assuming thats why they stay in hueco. not enough hollows in human world. and I'd also have to assume its quality of the soul eaten, not quantity.

idk hasnt really been stated. grimmjaw apparently got stronger just by eating pieces of his fraccions.

It was stated by Shawlong that once hollows become a Menos and that Menos develops a consciousness, it has to consume other Menos in order to advance from Gillian to Adjuchas... to continue evolving, a hollow has to consume hollows the same power or higher. Not all hollows are designed to evolve to a Vasto Lorde Menos. Regardless of this, an Adjuchas has to continue devouring hollows to become a Vasto Lorde or it will regress forever into a Gillian.

Also, being devoured partially by another hollow completely inhibits their ability to grow.

Once they become an Arrancar, they can never regress but it is never stated whether they can continue to grow or not.

after waiting so long for it to be done with the fillers, im really tired of all the bsing they're doing on the 'LOLHAHA joke" scenes. they were funny before the fillers but now i just want me action. perhaps if they got serious for a few episodes and brought those 2 goons back in id laugh. it's just annoying at the moment. also the way things are going it seems like they'll be fighting all at the same time and it'll switch abck and forth rather than 10episodes on 1 fight then switch to the next fight etc.

From what I remember, they were no where near this annoying in the manga. They get way too much screen time in the anime.
