Um...yeah, go read the One Piece thread. Everyone there (for every chapter) usually responds with "HOLY SHIT EPIC!" or "Omg, this is going to lead into something epic" which, guess what? It does. One piece had pretty bad chapter as well. I wont argue that the current Karakuta arc in bleach is anything but horrible tho.

The good thing bout OP is that when it's bad, it can get you a few laugh because of the comedic nature of the show. Bleach take itself too seriously.

Exactly why I like OP better. Slow OP is funny. Fast OP is epic. I like both and I get both from it. Bleach doesn't have enough humor. Having all the fighting arcs go on outside of the classroom really killed the comedy potential because Orihime/Tatsuki/Chad/2 lame guys/Rukia/Ishida can actually have some chemistry and joke around.

Kubo probably wanted to show everyone what all the side character were able to do, but it's done so terribly it's just painful to read.

Anyway, I still have hope that bleach will stop sucking, because the flashback before were pretty decent. Hopefully, they will go back to the normal cast soon.

Chapter was retarded. Soi Fon is so stubbornly annoying and Omaeda needs to disappear permanently. What's even worse is that the entire chapter next week is going to be concentrating on the ending to this crap and the chapter the week after will have half its panels with them talking about the outcome.

Battles need to be more like the Kenpachi vs. Tesla one. Don't be surprised if you don't remember it, because it ended with Kenpachi owning the shit out of the nobody in one move. This is how I feel about these retarded battles with the fraccion.

I personally liked it, but different strokes. At least it's leading up to something pretty big. Especially since that girl is crying at the end

edit: Since this is the Bleach thread, I might as well talk a little about it. Bleach has been on a slippery slope for awhile. I understand that certain parts of an arc has to drag on because there's SO many characters to cover, but the one thing that pisses me off about the manga is the fights. I can't stress how fucking ANNOYING it is for them to talk/dissect their EVERY move. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like how they explain what their bankai does, or why they ran into an attack, but Jesus Christ... that shit fills up an entire chapter sometimes-_-. I'm going to finish this arc, and if it doesn't get any better, I'm going to drop Bleach altogether. It's sad... I really liked Bleach at the start, but maybe it's because I started watching it when the manga was at Chap 100 or something, so I saw the majority of the older fights instead of reading it.

I was talking in general, not about the last manga. The pacing in One piece is fine lately (since thriller bark ended). Most fights were short, involved multiple characters at once and a lot happened.

Anyway, the whole "explaining your move" kind of thing is common in every shonen. They are doing it a lot in One piece piece as well with devil fruit users.

One major difference between OP and Bleach is the amount of text in every manga. If you're reading it weekly, OP is probably more satisfying considering it take 2-3 times longer to read. If you're reading the whole thing in one sitting, it doesn't really matter

The explaining of moves is necessary, like I said. What isn't necessary is how the villains explain how their moves are so flawless that they're going to win no matter WHAT happens. Then, of course, the Bleach character pulls a trump card...and explain for about 6pages why their move is so flawless and he or she is going to win no matter what happens. ~_~

This episode is an exercise in how to cram comic relief where it doesn't belong. At least they didn't screw with the Nnoitra fight much.

I get the feeling that they're overdoing on the comic relief just to avoid catching up to the manga again.

And really, did they have to do it at the worst possible fight, too? I really hated the Szayel fight.

But on the other hand, that also means it's harder to make the Szayel fight worse. I don't want to see DondoPesche show up and be all "hay guys wats goin on?" in the middle of Byakuya's fight too.

No they'll just have a two episode long conversation explaining to each other how awesome they are and how the other person stands no chance. And then right after they do one move they'll spend 5 minutes explaining exactly what it did even though they took two episodes to explain it already.

Szayel fight is too long and boring D: i think it was the only part in the entire manga where i actually skipped most of the pages, and the anime is even worse its taking so loooooong and then we still have all that szayel/mayuri to go through -.-

Nel's rediculous voice has ruined her for me

But i will just be glad to have byakuya back even though they probably found a way to ruin him too
