I actually like that she doesn't say much. It's pretty contrast to 95% of the other characters who do nothing but talk. The few times she has said something it's usually pretty significant (for example: putting her facion in their place by saying it's natural to be scared by an arrancar fighting in their resurrected form during the Grimjow/Ichigo fight). She seems to be the type who allows her actions to speak for her, which, in my opinion, we could use more of at the moment.

I was going along more of her Bankai just makes her stupid fast and strong. And her Zanpaktou staying around the same size. Also some one brought up, not sure if it was on these forums, possibly her Bankai will release more options besides just her finger for a 2 hit kill.

I thought they did a pretty good job with the backstory this episode. Wish we had seen more fighting between Nel and Nnoitra in the past (wasn't there a scene where Nel criticized him for killing a bunch of hollows or something in the manga?), but overall I felt they did a good job of portraying her.

3 more eps to go till things get really good though if what hanataro said is right~

God, they really did the backstory well. I don't remember ever sympathizing with what happened too much but the way it showed them without their masks and Neliel's head being split open, that was really emotionally charged.

I didn't remember her releasing her Zanpaktou, gotta go back and read the manga now. Shit's getting epic.

I just noticed something after watching the episode that I didnt catch in the manga. I know during the flashback, Apallo wasnt in the espada, but just realized Nnoitra tells Appalo "you arent in the espada anymore" (manga has same translation).
So Apallo was strong enough to be an espada at one point, but then was replaced by stronger ones, then got back in at #8. So I'd have to guess the Espada fight/kill off each other quite frequently for them to be dieing off like that.

Also kinda wondering why Nnoitra hasnt tried to kill Halibel. She's a female with a higher rank than him, and being stronger than him didnt stop him from going after Nel. unless he knows he stands no chance against her and she wouldnt hesitate to kill him I guess.

As everyone suspected, the Kidou Blast indeed came from Hinamori. I keep forgetting she was a vice captain. She was utterly useless in Soul Society. She blabs on about Aizen, and said she made a trap around the 3 fraccion Rangiku was fighting and blows them up. Unknown if they survive. Boring chapter sounds boring :/

I agree the anime is good with how they did Nel's backstory. The epic music they had when she was fighting Nnoritora in the past was really good. Added a lot to it. You can tell they're stretching the fights and Nel's fraccion as much as they can. It's not all THAT bad though. The actual fights and content themselves are good though. Can't wait til Kenpachi fights Nnoritora.

Gin and Aizen talk about who it could be, Aizen says "Nobody just a harmless and worthless thing". In addition, Hitsugaya's reiatsu gets disrupted and Halibel asks him why the disruption. He wonders why Hinamori is there and tells Halibel that he doesn't know. Hinamori admits that Halibel's fraccion are stronger than her so she laid a trap.
