Holy fuck. Matsumoto got torn apart in one hit (and so did Hinamori). It was a good way to have the Shinagami get fucked up pretty bad and bring in the other guys. Seriously, how many other fights have we had where you're thinking "geez where the hell is such and such"? Look at Grimmjow. He got smashed by Noitora and then disappeared for a year and we haven't seen him since.

It was refreshing to see Kira and Hisagi show up even if it was a little predictable. Now if they just do something with Yama's lieutenant and show what Komamura is doing, things should be just fine.

It was good for once to see some people get totally owned in one hit. makes the whole "battle" thing a bit more realistic. I still think Shuu has Bankai, i dunno about Kira though.

I'm gonna agree, if one of them has it, it's Shuu. Only because it's only been recent since Renji has even acquired his, let alone get any good at it, and the 2 of them were in the same class/graduation whereas Shuu was a few years ahead of them (if you remember he lead them on a mission when they were in the academy and they got attacked by hollows).

Let's not rule out the re-cycling of Ikkaku's bankai to save the day, and show that he's real srs about this fight after the lecture he got about conceling it.

Ikkaku got beat down. He's in no condition to fight. Yumichika is also knocked out. It's quite plausible that Hisagi and Kira rushed there because they're the only ones to not take any damage in their fights.

I'm betting on Hisagi having Bankai. Kensei was his idol and Kensei had it. Tousen was his captain and he obviously had it. If anything, Hisagi has been a senior student since before Renji and even Kira. I think Hisagi just doesn't like having to use his Zanpakuto.
