Keep in mind there were probably 2 months or so of no manga if you add up all the holidays and random no issue shit. Far as the anime goes, they'll probably toss in a bit of filler with the Pendulum arc. Was actually hoping the manga would do more with this than it did, but whatever.

Annoying thing is all these stupid little fights will probably 2-3 episodes apiece.

I am so tired of shunpo in the anime. Shunpo here, shunpo there, sonido all over, I don't care. Just get rid of it and never bring it back. It was cool back when byakuya was like the only person who did it, now it's annoying and half the fights are people shunpoing around. Byakuya vs Zommari was so zzzzz.

While I agree that they don't need to make a big deal out of it every time, it makes perfect sense for characters to use their movement techniques in a serious battle instead of just running/flying. You know how in most fighting games with air dashing you see it used a whole lot? That's because it's useful. And if when characters don't use a useful technique because it's 'getting old', it just ends up making fights feel stupid. Remember when Soifon let herself get hit for no apparent reason, and we all complained because she should have been able to end that fight in one hit right away instead of waiting a couple chapters and then ending it in one hit? Yeah, it's like that.

Of course, what does get annoying is when they start with the "Hah! My movement technique with a silly name is faster than yours!" "Nuh-uh! I was just pretending. Mine's really like 4 times faster." "Oh yeah? Well I'll just call it by a different name and now I'm 9 times faster!" "Oh yeah? Well I can use two of mine at once and now I'm 20 times faster!"... But then again, they do that with everything else too.

It makes me think about that arrancar encyclopedia (sp) with zomari and byakuya. That little short really hits the nail on the head on how redicilous it sometimes looks like. If you don't know what short I'm talking about its the one where byakuya and zomari keep shunpo'ing behind eachother outside the 'studio' and deep into the night. Kinda funny tho

I hope his japanese audience is getting just as pissed off. He's been riding the name for too long. He needs to step back up to the plate. There's a lot of potential in the series, but when the manga is this drawn out, how can we have any hope for the already drawn out anime? I find that all I tune in for now is the anime op/eds and shinigami illustrated picture book, the two of which represent a much better series than whatever else is on at the time.

Ryujin Jakka is the name of his zanpakuto. Nadegiri is the name of the technique, it translates to 'clean sweep' or 'killing several with one sword sweep'. You could liken it to Getsuga Tensho as far as usage.
