Curious. Where'd you get your sig from? That.. looks anime-ish for what's going on in the manga. o.o;
Well.. for a long time now, I personally think Naruto anime's been rather shit unless it's a huge main battle and what not. The manga's picked up speed though, for real.
it is from the manga just coloured in in photoshop
naruto's anime is usually fairly shit but i still watch since its usually entertaining XD then again the 'quality animation' in bleach has been even worse the past few months. why i actually like watching bleach filler, the animators dont even try, makes for awesome screencaps

WHEN FILLER!RUKIA ATTACKS
Wow, corean frame is corean.
Also, your sig makes me think "All hail the hypnotoad" >_>
Wrong <_<. One Piece is fucking amazing, but most Americans don't like it (or even try to start reading/watching it) because of its unique drawing style. One Piece is constantly delivering amazing chapters, it's just very underrated over here. Over in Japan it's like the #1 most bought manga iirc <_<Originally Posted by CrimsonAngel

Emo? Look at all the other shonen mangas, they ALL have somewhat depressing backstories. Ichigo's mother dies to a hollow while protecting him, Naruto's father dies sacrificing himself for the village, and Luffy's father... well, he's still alive, and arguably the strongest pirate <_<. The rest have stories that describe why and what they're doing when Luffy and the crew meets them. It wouldn't make sense for Nami to be a thief who despises pirates without having some sort of traumatizing past event. One Piece is great because they don't emphasize on their past, but about the present. They're always helping each other out, mocking each other, partying, and all-in-all having a great time together. There's no side characters, each member of the Luffy crew is important in their own way.
P.S: All manga has some sort of reoccurring theme, and for One Piece it's nakama. Who doesn't like hearing stories about friends;o
But it's like so fucking depressing, it's like every new person/area has such a fucking depressing past...
For fuck's sake the series begin by shank losing one of his arm.
But most of it is so well done, especially Brooks, and even Chopper who I don't like very much had a good back story.
Naruto- Family dead, alone
Sasuke- Family dead, alone
Gaara- Everyone want's him dead, including the one person he thought cared for him
Ichigo- Guilt over mother's death
Ishida- Dead Grandfather
This shit is common.
i always assumed ken knew it once, and once released it just stayed released forever like ichigo's
could be wrong though! i think we have had this arguement about 1000 times in this thread and it never got us anywhere.
and i dont know anything about One Piecei did try reading it a couple times but just never got into it
It's always released because of the sheer amount of power he has, just like ichigo. It's kind of a loophole in the whole "you gotta know it's name to release" thing. I'm willing to bet once he learns it's name the blade will change into something less worn down looking, though.are you sure about this? i was under the impression that it wasn't even that far as kenpachi doesn't even know it's name and all. don't you have to know the swords name before you can use senkai?
My only problem with One Piece is that I am soooooooooooooo far behind, that I just look at how many chapters I would have to read or how many episodes I would have to watch, and just can't do it. I am sure it is a great series, but I just don't have enough time to ever catch up at the moment.
Him losing his arm had more significance then you may think. It gave Luffy a reason to venture off and become so strong, so it was almost a symbol of Luffy's greatness (Shank, one of the strongest pirates in the world, gave his arm to a KID. He knew that Luffy would be an amazing pirate). And yeah, what others said... it's common for characters to have emotional pasts. It helps the reader love that character even more.
Also, One Piece isn't that difficult to catch up. If you read 2~3 chapters a day (which is like 30mins of your time), you could catch up within a few months. Watching the episodes...? That'd take some time, but it all depends on which you like better: anime or manga. I started watching One Piece when it was in the Thriller Bark arc, which is was like 3~4arcs ago, and it only took me 3months. D:
haha no one cares about bleach anymore so this thread is now a naruto/OP discussion.
and yes draggy, kenpachi's sword does not need to be discussed anymore.
his sword isn't released lol
any discussion on this subject, no matter what proof is shown, never ends without others stating their opinions as fact.kenpachi's sword does not need to be discussed anymore.
which is why any discussion on it is old and pointless. if you want to discuss it, just go look back in the thread and and read the 3 or 4 discussions about it.
HIS SWORD IS YACHIRU WHO HAS A SWORD SO HE HAS TWO SWORDS YAMAMOTO IS A LIAR.
Uh. Anyways. I know the current trend is hating on Bleach, and I'm all up on that, but I finally watched the new ED, and once again I express my wonder at why it is we don't have the story I keep seeing in the OPs and EDs. Not to mention that it shows more quality and effort than most episodes of the show lately. It's a very beautiful song, and despite my rabid anti-Orihime stance, it was really well synced to her (as she should/could be). Certainly a step up from the cardboard-cutout everyone's-out-sick-today thing they did LAST time (though that wasn't necessarily bad, it was fucking lazy).
Even if I totally give up on Bleach, I'm going to keep up with the OPs and EDs from the anime.
