o yea, he has. but this weeks episode he's kicking more ass than usual like when he was fighting mayuri
He did nothing out of the ordinary in this chapter imo...Grimmjow ftw though...
I'm still confused as to why arancar would attack inoue in the first place when they should all know she's there to assist Aizen...
Randomly, what kind of "favor" would Grimmjow want out of her now? Maybe heal Ichigo so they can have their rematch o.O?
Zanpakutou
What's this mean again? I remember it being said in 123 and I was like, dammit wtf is this!? Hate DB subs.
it's the swords name of a ranked shinigami (those who aren't part of one of the thirteen squads are named different) and all arrancar we've seen to date
*edit* if you mean the literal definition it's "soul-cutting sword"
Oh so it's like a Soul Slayer? I just watched bleach up to 109 with a better translation. Dattebayo translations seriously suck.
basically. yea
*edit* personally i enjoy that they translate it zanpakuto in the translation...
*reedit* cryyyy
Isn't that the name of their sword.....?Originally Posted by Maguspk
Zanpakutou is the general name. Each one has a specific name (Zangetzu, Benehime, Zabimaru, etc).
I also like that DB keeps the Zanpakutou translation as it's more like a proper noun than something that should be translated literally in my opinion.
Zanpakutou and shinigami shouldn't be translated. One of the good things DB does.
Every "made up" name should always stay intact imo, and it's true for every anime. By made up, I'm refering to name given to stuff that doesn't exist in our real world. Overused word shouldn't be translated either, when there isn't an english equivalentOriginally Posted by Vobent
I dislike the Soulslayer and Deathgod translations. I dont watch the dubs, but are they translated or kept to the original?
Anyone else think the anime is moving at a faster pace then the manga? Almost seems like it will catch up
Dub refers to them as Lunaranime did. Zanpakutō and Soul Reaper, which is odd as I'm not sure why they'd keep the japanese term for the Zanpakutō, but not keep Shinigami. Ah well.
On the note of the speed in which Bleach moves.. yes, I think it moves MUCH faster than Naruto for one. Naruto should take lessons from Bleach and move a bit faster, but we won't go into that. I'm seeing a couple of the fights that are coming up to be drawn out. (One I'm hoping for is this week >.>)
It wouldnt surprise me if we got some background filler episodes, like that episode about Ikkaku. it was like 2 pages in the manga but a whole episode in the anime XD
Our episodes typically cover 2-4 chapters, which is a lot. LolNaruto in one hour long special didn't even cover an entire chapter. That's sad.
As long the 3 dolls dont start talking...yah. 1episode = 2-3 manga chapters usually, so it does move at a faster pace if you are talking about the quantity of content every week. Manga speed isn't too bad, but at 10 pages per weeks...you will never get enough. 3 pages battle takes 15 sec to read, but can be translated in a 10min battle in the anime.Originally Posted by Slayzer
After watching recent Naruto/one piece episode, I can say Bleach seem to be doing the best of the 3 to tell their story. Useless flashback and filler are so damn annoying. That said, the 3 series could be so much better if they were sticking to the manga frame by frame. Make 26 episodes season, than wait a few months to give us high quality anime packed with action (instead of action diluted in a never ending river of filler)
That is really my only problem with Bleach and Naruto. If they wanted to, they could make these animes go on forever. I'm always sad when an anime ends, but they have to end eventually or they start to get bad and ruin the anime (Inuyasha). ;/
