I think it's more interesting to note that Ishida was foreshadowing something serious. When Orihimme asked him to take her up there, he agreed immediately and "would regret the decision afterwards". He knows something is going to happen to somebody.

I bet Orihimme gets hurt Hinata-style (Kubo probably reads Naruto and is stealing some ideas, lol) and Ichigo gets angry and Ulquiorra screws him up some more... then hollow Ichigo comes out and Ishida takes Orihimme somewhere safe.

I don't see Ulquiorra losing at the current rate unless something traumatic happens soon.

I took it as maybe Ishida knowing that Ichigo has to become something completely monstrous to even think about taking on Ulq. Even though Ishida didn't see how Inoue reacted to Ichigo with his mask on earlier. Also, notice that for most of the time he has black eyes like in hollow mode without a mask on, sometimes it is only one eye though.

I seriously think Ichigo is trying to stay alive long enough to where the inner hollow comes out, seeing how he knows he has no chance now in his current form.

I'm curious why they are showing Hollow Ichigo under the broken mask. While we know Ichigo is using his inner hollow powers when using the mask, whenever it's broken in the past, we never saw hollow Ichigo's face after. I might be reading too much into it, but I'm curious if they're using that to mean even Hollow Ichigo is defeated there and we won't get another inner battle. Orihime wanting to go to the fight sort of supports the theory, especially if she's just going to reject Ulq out of existence after all.

There are two main duties of the Soul Reapers when dealing with hollows: to perform a ritual known as a soul burial (魂葬 (こんそう) ,konsō?) on pluses before they become hollows, and slay hollows to purify their souls of all sins commited while in that form, so they become pluses once again. I'd say he was less butthurt and more sarcastic since you like to play the semantics game and point out the stupidly obvious. "hollow died" is easier to say than "hollows soul was purified". plus it doesnt come with that aftertaste of gay. also, you spelled "the" wrong.

on another note: why's everyone so certain it was another release? obviously it could be since he drastically changed, but he didnt say any release command.

That's Ichigo's face, not hollow ichigo. That's how he looks when his mask breaks and it was broken completely by the black cero

Maybe I should stop reading Naruto chapters before I do Bleach, I'd probably enjoy them a whole lot more.

This chapter didn't seem that bad really, kinda exposed a little bit about what Ulquiorra really thinks of the whole Aizen situation. It almost seems as if he's conflicted on what to do at the moment which is pretty interesting. Either that or he really does just wants to crush everyone's spirit in thinking they can win which I wouldn't put past him considering all the thought he put into Orihime's capture.

It doesn't even matter trying to guess from the past work because the guy has been making shit up as he goes along forever now. When he beats the current dude he's fighting now, he's going to come back later in his spaceship, half in metal, and someone else is going to slice him in half from the future.

Filler episode. Has to do with the Karakura Super Hero Team. The birth of the Karakura Raider or something of that sort...
Apparently in the PSP Bleach Game: Soul Carnival, Kon is in Ichigos body wearing a super hero outfit and I believe is referred to as Karakurizer

And thanks on the filler clarification. I was hoping it was an extra episode showing Urahara creating and using the Hougyoku to save the vizard, but filler makes a lot more sense...

yeah, but that could be out of fear. Ive been thinking that since Ulq felt Ichigo's power was stronger than his (their 1st meeting) everything Ulq has been doing has been to keep pushing Ichigo to his limits so he can get access to all that other power. All for the greater good of stopping Aizen.
of course this could also be due to just a run of the mill over used shonen recipe.

I was thinking Ulq was trying to push him too, thats why I keep bringing up gohan-rage. Playing a cell-like part. Push and push since you know he has more. I love the idea that Ulq hates aizen and inturn is his most obedient, out of fear, but playing the greater good role I think is boring.

"In defeating me, I can see that only you can stop that Monster, Aizen!" please, dont even go there. Ichigo needs to just go full hollow already and go all out. I am bored of this fight, but at the same time and dying to see Ulq at full power and see what the top 4 espada are capable of. I'd love to see Ichigo get a power up, since apparently the power is already there he just has to tap into it. Bring on something post-vaizard, or bring out the full hollow. Do it.

Thinking the "second form" thing might be their equivalent to bankai. No real point mulling over it until we see what it really does to Ulq and if the higher ups wind up doing it, too.
