I'm assuming. Seeing as Stark is #1 he's gotta be fucktardedly strong. I would think Shunsui will be forced to use his bankai (i hope) to survive.

I don't think a fight like Ulquiorra's has ever been hyped so much and yet ended up being so disappointing so far. The sad part is you know he's going to continue to wreck Ichigo for the next few chapters until Orihimme dies or his hollow comes out. Kubo's pacing is so horrible... sometimes I wonder if he even knows what to do with Bleach.

Shit, I do. Let me write Bleach. At least I'd make it interesting.

hell yeah of course Shunsui's going to have to use Bankai. Hytsugaya had to use bankai already and halibel hasn't even released yet. granted Hytsugaya is probably the weakest captain. only reason he hasn't gone bankai yet is most likey to the fact both of them have the same personality and don't feel like fighting. and Ukitaki hasn't yet because he's just fighting a fraccion.

Okay, here's an example of what I would have done last chapter... I'm so going to get torn apart:

Chapter 437 - "The Lust" Summary

Chapter continues from last week. The first panel shows Ishida and Orihimme. Orihimme has a concerned look on her face as the reiatsu released from the cero almost totally overwhelms her, while Ishida rushes to help her to her feet. "Kurosak-kun!" she cries. Ishida looks up towards the hole in the dome. "Kurosaki will win, Inoue." He looks at the concern on her face as he thinks about what to say to her to comfort her. "I... I'm fine Ishida-kun... please... can you take me to the top of the dome?" Ishida is surprised, and worried about Orihimme's safety. Inoue-san... I should never have told you 'yes'. "Please..." He gently takes her hand and smiles nervously.

Scene changes to Rudobon and Rukia's fight, briefly, and she is clashing swords still with the drones. "Do you see that, shinigami? There is no way your friend could have survived the cero oscuro! This is not a fight you will win!" Rukia dispatches another drone, thinking to herself, Ichigo... just hang on.

Ulquiorra is staring down the line of the blast, looking for Ichigo. Ichigo's mask is completely broken now, and he is struggling to stand on top of the dome. The released reiatsu has destroyed some of the pillars on the top. Ichigo is breathing heavily. "I am sorry to say that this is the end for you, human. You will never defeat me as the difference in our power is too great for you to overcome." Ichigo leans on his sword, struggling to stand. "So what? You think I will just give up because you're stronger? I knew that when I came to find you. I... I promised Inoue-san that I would defeat you... I will never stop trying!"

Ulquiorra closes his eyes briefly, and releases his reiatsu. Ichigo almost falls off of the dome. "It appears as if you are simply incapable of understanding what I am telling you. Aizen-sama will be disappointed." At that point, Orihimme and Ishida appear at the top of the dome. "Kurosaki-kun!"

Ichigo turns around and yells "Inoue! I told you to stay back!" Ulquiorra disappears and reappears in front of Ichigo. "I told you not to lose your focus, even for a moment!" He impales Ichigo through the side with his hand, surprising Ishida and Orihimme. "Kurosaki-kun!"

Ichigo fades to black in the style similar to when his hollow is taking over. End of chapter.

I always wanted Orihime to get killed (or at least looking like she got killed) and ichigo would go total hollow but, haha, since it just happened in naruto i dunno if you could get away with that without it looking like an obvious copy

I even thought of an idea for the next chapter:

Chapter 438 - "The Inner Darkness"

First panel is totally black. "Ichigo... I'm sorry but... if I let you keep fightin' like this we're gonna die..." "I don't need you! I can still fight!" "Ichigo... you're pathetic. It's time you let a real warrior fight for a change."

Scene fades in showing Hollow Ichigo. Ichigo is breathing heavily. "I told you the day would come that I would be the king and you the horse. You understand it's a matter of survival. Nothin' personal." "Teach... teach me how to fight like a hollow..." Shirosaki closes his eyes and smiles. "Now now... you can't even learn how to stay alive, why should I teach you anything new? Maybe you should spend some time watching a real fight."

Scenes interspersed show Orihimme running to Ichigo's side with Ishida grabbing her arm. "What choice do you have?" Ishida is releasing his Seele Schneider and facing down Ulquiorra, who is looking in his direction. "None of them have the power that we have, Ichigo. If you resist me now, they will all die." Ichigo's face turns angry. "No! I will not become a monster! I can still keep control and win!" Shirosaki's face turns serious. "No, you can't." Ishida is knocked across the dome with a single hit and is trying to keep up with Ulquiorra. Inoue-san... run... Ichigo grips his sword and faces down Shirosaki. "I will never let you have control of me." He charges Shirosaki who is laughing and charging Ichigo as well.

Suddenly a massive amount of reiatsu causes Ulquiorra to look surprised. He turns around to the shadowy figure in the dust clouds to see...

"Hello. Allow me to introduce myself. 4th Squad Commander... Retsu Unohana." Unohana is smiling. Ulquiorra turns to face her. "Should I be afraid?" Unohana's face turns serious for the first time ever. "Bankai."

Hmm, I liked everything up until the Unohana part. This is a fight Ichigo needs to win on his own (well, with help from his hollow). Considering there has been buildup to this fight since the Arrancar arc started some 200 chapters ago (even before the first Ichigo/Grimmjow fight) it feels like now, I don't like the idea of anyone interfering now.

I'm curious where you were going though with the confrontation between Ichigo and Shirosaki. I would think the next logical part would be Ulquiorra targetting Inoue and Ichigo finally agreeing to give into Shirosaki? Would work for me.

Edit to clarify a little - I know his "inner fights" happen with almost no time taking place in the "real world", but Ichigo has defeated his hollow before and learned to control his hollow so I don't see how another fight between them would accomplish anything and it would seem like wasting time while his friends are being attacked. I think at this point instead of controlling his hollow, he needs to either join up with, or be dominated by, his other half. Either one to me, would make him more powerful than he is with just being in control.

Well, really my original string of ideas included a brief confrontation between Unohana and Ulquiorra. It ended with Unohana and Ulquiorra only fighting extremely brief, with her Bankai ability being revealed as the ability to heal damage and then redirect it at her opponent (similar to Hanataro's) but her real strength lied in her defensive ability and her excellent use of kido.

Like, she would just instantly use binding spells to hold Ulquiorra down and then defend his strikes with two-handed blocks and counter-attacks... and when Ulquiorra decided to get serious, Ichigo woke up in full hollow mode.

Then the scene changed to Aizen sitting in the ring of fire with Gin and Tousen. "What is it, Aizen-sama?" Aizen smiles to himself. "Mission accomplished." - End of next chapter.

I really think the first time we'll see anything with Isshin is a whole new arc just for him. It gives Kubo plenty to go on to expand the series through it. Which is not to say it wouldn't be interesting to see.
