This manga would be a lot better if Ichigo just stayed in that form full time. Holy fuck he is too raw; he absolutely annihilated Ulquiorra.

the whole foot on head + cero thing was sweet as hell, and using sonido instead of shunpo was a nice touch at making him seem even more hollow

Did anyone notice how BIG ichigo is in this form? Ulq might be a little small, but the panel with ichigo standing on his head, he just looks AWESOME.

So from this point, is it Inuyasha? Where Ichigo is still berserk or whatever and cant come out of this form on his own? Do the captains/orihime have to cry to get him out? Does he just come out on his own? The technique where he appeared next to ulq, sonido, was similar to what Stark used - pretty sweet.

That was a pretty awesome chapter. Not even sure where it will go next, hopefully somewhere interesting.

I am sad that the pendulum arc is over the anime, that was really well done. With it going back to filler, I am going back to not watching it. >.>

While it was a bit anti-climatic, I like the way Ulquiorra went out. A lot better than most of the other Espada's deaths/defeats: being a bitchy, sore loser (Grimmjow), begging for mercy (Zommari), etc.

I thought the new chapter was awesome. Definitely a hardcore way for Ichigo to end the fight. I don't know why you guys would think its anticlimactic. The fight lasted a long time for the manga. Its gonna be super epic when the anime gets to this point, which prolly won't be till the end of the summer lol. I'm curious to see if Ichigo is indeed conscious throughout all of this. He is obviously still in bankai mode since he still has the Tensa Zangetsu sword. I think he is utilizing the full effect of the Vaizard power. Hollow ichigo told Ichigo that if he really wanted to use the full force of the hollow power, to stay alive until hollow ichigo returns. I'm guessing this is it. Ichigo is probably strong enough to take down Stark i bet, but Aizen would still punish him. And we still don't even know how strong Gin really is.

Ulquiorra's release and subsequent powers were the most boring yet. Regeneration and a Lance that he can't even aim! At first, I thought Ichigo dodged or something but no, he actually missed.

The way Ulquiorra concedes defeat was pretty consistent with his character. "Ah well go ahead. Kill me. I lost anyway what else matters anymore? I was beaten by a stupid human." I don't think it was anti-climactic because of this. I thought this chapter was the perfect way to end the fight. I just thought that the build-up for Ulquiorra was terrible leading up to this moment. There wasn't anything wrong with this chapter it just felt like it came too soon. Ulquiorra didn't feel like Ichigo's rival the way that Grimmjow did, and we didn't get any backstory before Ichigo wasted him. Suddenly Grimmjow doesn't exist anymore and we don't know where he or Gantenbein are at.

I don't know... the chapter was excellent it just felt out of place in the overall story.

I would have liked more on Ulq as well. I'm happy that Ichigo destroyed him as much as he did, but they played on the similarities between the 2 of them too much, how ichigo is hollow like, even ending with the line "no mercy, like a hollow" or whatever... they should have done more with that. The way Ichigo finished him off I loved, he got right in his face, didn't say anything, and what looked as if he scared Ulq somewhat. Just that intimidating, it really is a cool form. I would have liked more "No! This can't be! A HUMAN CANT DO THIS!" but that would have been too much like grimmjow I suppose, guess I just wanted more ulq before he was gone.

but with all the months of hype for this guy its like "wait..wut?" blink and you'll miss it. i think it was all over way too quickly (oh my gawd i cant believe i am saying that)

then again i'll wait until next week. maybe he isnt actually dead yet due to plot no jutsu

Well the No Mercy comment is kinda interesting... His brain/Internal organs need to be destroyed to kill him, so maybe ichigo turned the cero at the last second and just injured him or tried to scare him... But it was such an upclose powerful cero, he shouldn't have been able to live without someone stepping in to help Ulq.

That last move of Ichigo's was insanely huge, idk how ulq could live unless he diliberatly missed him and/or didn't deliver a killshot on purpose - which in this transformation of his doesn't seem likely. Expressionless, sheer power and hollow-like, I'd more expect a rampage where he has no emotions and doesn't know anyone or himself...

Don't forget guys, this transformation still isn't the same as the one when he learned to go Vaizard, still possible more levels for Ichi to reach - plus that form also had a sword, wtb FULL hollow Ichigo during Aizen fight maybe ;p and no, not inner hollow, full hollow with the tail and the omg im not a human-thing.
