Let me just say having a regeneration power in Bleach is pretty much the most pointless power ever. The fact he is fighting an Ichigo with a fucking giant hole/window in his chest proves that.

And looking at it in a general sense... when you are fighting supergodmode DBZ style fights with really sharp swords and your vital organs are still vulnerable, what good is it?

Well that's part of what my point was about. What the heck is the point of revealing all of this awesome power that Ulquiorra has if it means nothing? This is something we should have known chapters ago, and then Ulquiorra restates it later.

It just feels like they're trying to hammer the point home that Ichigo's inner hollow is unstoppable. Yea, as if ripping Ulquiorra's arm off bare-handed and forming a cero with your horns isn't already powerful. We get it. He's strong.

Man, between the fight being fucking prolonged for chapters on, and the way he just pretty much did the same thing as he did to byakuya minus a few minor details, it's just not fucking interesting.

And does kubo need to fucking explain a power over regeneration for ulquiorra when he'd get obliterated into quantum particle the next page?

Could see real Ichigo trying to regain control at the last second, veering the cero off slightly. While it'd still mar the fuck out of Ulq, he could at least regenerate over time. Only real reason I could see it being mentioned, but it'd also kick off getting Ichigo back or others stepping in to restrain him.

Mayuri gave it to him, or he wouldn't have been shown in the panel when it was used.

Although he does mention that Aporro told him about yammy or at least brought him up, and the mine didn't kill him but I'm sure it did a lot to him other than just hurt him... enough that the falling would make a difference, at least enough to slow him down or weaken him before the fall.

I guess you can interpret it as Mayuri gave him the land mine, but it may have been designed by Aporro... Mayuri obviously came prepared with items like poisons and antidotes so it's possible he brought weapons too. We still don't know what was in that lab that Mayuri found with the things hanging, there could have been weapons and such in there... Just different ways to look at it and read it I guess since it was never really explained. I'd still like to know what was in that doorway in the lab.

sorry for so many late edits... but no it never said they found the mine in there, it only says in the next chapter that Mayuri healed him and Aburai, and then gave him the special mine. Doesn't say where it came from.

I'd assume that since Mayuri came with other things for the fight, like a scientist he comes prepared or studies his enemies first, so that the mine designed to kill arrancars was probably made by him.

You didn't make an ass of yourself, I had to look it up as well to double check but knew where to look. Nothing wasted I wanted to make sure I wasn't making it up either. So many loose ends and things unexplained it's hard to remember all of it.
