gotta say, I dont think Ulq is quite dead yet either. we should at least be getting some kind of backstory on him a bit, like grimmjaw and Noitorria. AA, had his little explination, and even Apollo had a bit of backstory with nel's story.

meh, think he wanted him to stay away from him because of the big explosion it would cause, and he didnt want to get caught up in it. "I dont want to throw this when were too close". not that he was afraid to, as seen when he tried to you it at point blank range anyways.

Regardless, its a shitty way to dispose of an Espada. Especially one of the first we saw at the beginning of the Arrancar arc. God forbid we give Chad, Ishida, Unohana or Renji a good fight.

I understand that Ulquiorra was a pretty big character and died pretty fast without much info. But why on earth would anyone stop ichigo from killing him (aside from arrancar) Ichigo has killed plenty of arrancar in the past. Also after what Ulquiorra has done to Ichigo and Orihime I highly doubt he would let him live.

No idea but peskis is used to "shield" Espadas and possibly Arrancars from Shunpo apparently.

sonido apparently is a type of "stealth" movement, ulquira (however its spelt) said he went through his perksis...? (spiritual energy detection).

shunpo is faster but doesn't hide spiritual energy

Meh, they just really have not been given any good fights. Ishida got to fight against Mayuri in the Soul Society arc, and that is the ONLY good fight that has not taken place between someone and ichigo. I'm saying they should fucking do something.worthwhile.

Look at Naruto. At least the other characters do cool shit once in a while, namely shikamaru and the sand ninja.

Well, for the side character to come to live on their own arc and shit, they kinda need some sort of significance to begin with.

Again, this may just me being critical and deluded into hating bleach, but aside from like Ishida, Renji, Yoruichi, Urahara, Zaraki and maybe a few people here and there I missed, the side characters on bleach may as well be cardboard cutout as far as their presence and personality is concerned.

They're just not interesting, yet Kubo's shoving them into the readers for the kind of fight/plot progression that an anime do for fillers while waiting for manga to catch up.

Shikamaru alone pretty much owns any Bleach side-character. While I hate to compare the two mangas since one is clearly superior to the other, I can never shake off the deja vu "Yu Yu Dragonbleach Shippuden" when I read Kubo's work. The last three chapters of Bleach is proof of that alone. Ulq getting owned by Ichigo's demon power, errr I mean hollow power, is a huge disappointment but I expected it. Probably one of the most refreshing characters Kubo had and he downplays him in a matter of just a few panels in the most cliche'd fashion.
