That's what everyone who hates Bleach says almost every week, yet they keep going back to it. /shrug

Except I don't hate Bleach. If you have bothered to read any of my posts, I defend Bleach's creativity tooth and nail.

This time, however, the story doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I question why I'm bothering to read this crap if it has no development.

It's not about looking for depth in a comic or a movie. I'm not even slightly entertained by the outcome. This has me looking forward to the side-characters more than the main character.

Ulquiorra cuts off Ichigo's horn and Ichigo ceros himself, and that puts him back to normal? Then he turns to sand?

That is terrible writing no matter how you slice it. Being a writer myself, I'm not going to subject myself to pathetic writing just because I read a series. I stopped reading X-Men and Marvel Comics a long time ago for the same reasons, I think I can manage a two-bit shonen manga.

Kurosaki gets up at once.

Ichigo notices Ishida's state.

Ulq "He's a stubborn guy."
Ulq pulls out the sword Kurosaki stabbed him with from Ishida.
He throws the sword in front of Kurosaki.
Ulquiorra "Take it. End the fight."
Kurosaki "I stabbed Ishida?"
Ulquiorra "You didn't know?"
Kurosaki "I also cut off your left arm and left leg?"
Kurosaki "If so, cut off my left arm and left leg."
Hime "kurosaki-kun!!"
Kurosaki: The one you fought up till just now was a me with the hollowmask and without a consciousness.
That's not me. If you want me to end the fight, I'll have to be in the same state as you, else it's not fair right!"
Ishida "Kurosaki! Do you know what you're saying?"
Ulq "That's good, if that's your wish, so be it."

Ulq grows wings? "This far....kill me."
Kurosaki is surprised.
Ulq "Hurry up.... I don't have any strength left to walk... if you don't kill me now,
the fight will go on endlessly....
Kurosaki "....I refuse."
Ulq "what?"
Kurosaki "I'm saying I don't want to! This.... this isn't a win!!"

Ulq is surprised.
Ulq "Tch.... you're the kind of guy who does whatever he likes..... up until the end...."
Ulq looks at Hime.
Ulq "Though I was finally starting to develop some interest in you guys."
Hime has a bewildered? facial expression.
Ulq reaches out his hand "....Am I frightening, woman?"
Hime with a sad face "You're not."
Ulq "Is that so."
Hime starts reaching out her hand
and Ulq disappears in a rustling motion, like ash.

Again, wasted potential. This could have been done so much better, but instead we get nonsensical dialogue and actions that just don't make much sense.

Seriously why can't we just have a fight like some of the lesser espada vs captains? Someone clearly wins in those. Every time Ichigo gets involved though it is like we do cartwheels to ensure Ichigo never kills his opponent. Guh...

I just hope things can turn around, why I continue to hold out hope, I'm not sure -- I guess more than anything I just want to see how Bleach ends I guess. >.>

Tatsuki and Keigo showed up at Urahara's place a little after HM arc started and began their training with Urahara to develop their already existing powers. Last we saw they were wandering the desert with the 2 little urahara helper kids trying to find a way into the dome to help the others.

Eh, doesn't really surprise me much. It's not like Ichigo hasn't portrayed the fact he hates his inner Hollow taking over. By extension, since he's not the one that did the damage, he'd only think it fair to take on the same handicaps since it'd been more like 2 on 1 at that point. Actually not wanting to kill kind of segues back to his fight with Kenpachi and the implication that all he's doing is seeking stronger opponents and lusting for battle when all he's really doing is trying to protect his friends. So, while it's easy for us to say, "BULLSHIT! KILL! KILL! KILL! I WOULD!" it's not Ichigo and never has been.

Dordonii=> Ikkaku
Renji=> Grimjaw

Byakuya=> Ulquiorra

While i agree Ichigo could use a bit more willingness to use deadly force, it makes sense within context.

Ya know, I've been thinking.

Sooner or later, amid the sea of teenagers with far too many hours of free time and a pirated copy of photoshop, one of them will re-edit Bleach (Think The Phantom Edit where they un-Lucased it), take out all the filler, bullshit death speeches and pointless side battles and flashbacks, and it will actually be a great fucking Manga.

All 30 chapters of it :D
