I actually liked that chapter, Ulq and Orihime reaching out to one another then his hand fading to ash before they touch.
It was a better ending then what he could have done lol, at least we can get back to other things now.
I didn't mind the way it ended. To me, the problem wasn't really the scene itself, it was the fact that it just came out of nowhere and was almost completely like the Byakuya/Ichigo fight ending.
The chapter wasn't the problem. The pace and its place amongst the other chapters is the problem.
So "pain" and ulq died, did anyone else notice how parallel the storyline naruto and bleach is
Ichigo needs to put down his purse.
I don't get it...I may be slow and I may be reading too much into this...but after everything Ulq did, why would Orihime show compassion towards him at his time of death? He kidnapped her, almost killed the one she loves multiple times, almost killed her friends, then at the last moment, she practically forgives him? I can't tell if that's supposed to be a testament to her character, or her just being stupid as hell (or both)...Or maybe it's because he saved her from the person he had been trying to kill for so long at the last moment (which is also suddenly completely out of character from what we've been shown thus far).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hate on Bleach as I haven't been one to complain about anything lately since I usually just sit back and try to enjoy it. I'm just pointing out some of the character inconsistencies that have bothered me recently and am wondering if it's just me or not...
UlqxOrihime?! ;;
yeaaaah... Ulq kidnaps orihime making it look like she was a traitor, he's almost killed ichigo once already, he's a hollow who follows Aizen, and Ichigo is crying that he wants his arm and leg cut off to have an even fight with Ulq? WHAT THE FUCK? ok, wanting to do things on your own is fine, but that just brings it to a horrid level of fucking stupid. incomprehensibly retarded. Not even Goku did shit like that, and he's probably the "goodest" of the good people ever.
and Ulqiorra... incredibly out of character. I was expecting him to possibly be trying to train ichigo to get stronger, which I guess still could be the case, but to ask orihime if he was scared of him, and reaching out his hand to her? what the shit?
Kubo needs to spend less time making pictures of the bleach women in bathing suits so he can masterbate to them and spend his time actually thinking about what the fuck he's doing.
oh... and heres one more "surprise! look behind you!" pic.. wtf haha. http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/353/08/
Yeah I was kind of hoping Ulq had a huge ulterior motive with Ichigo and everything he was doing was for a greater purpose. If it was I can understand his sudden change of character probably. However, it doesn't appear that's the way this is going.and Ulqiorra... incredibly out of character. I was expecting him to possibly be trying to train ichigo to get stronger, which I guess still could be the case, but to ask orihime if he was scared of him, and reaching out his hand to her? what the shit?
This chapter just seemed to be a gigantic pile of wtf all swirled in together. It just felt like there was no real flow to it at all.

Gets my vote for dumbest page ever. Even in context, it just irritates me that despite everything Ulq has done we still get the "OMG THIS FIGHT ISN'T FAIR!" bullshit. It makes no sense that Ichigo can go from wanting to be the protector or Orihime and then, when the time comes to defeat her captor, he is all of a sudden more worried about the fight being fair.
At least the ending of the chapter was done well -- even though it did seem kind random to a point with Ulq just saying "well, time's up!" I have a feeling we are going to get one more chapter with Ichigo and Co. to hopefully explain some of this because there was just too much stuff out of left field.
She was showing compassion, which is in-character for her. That compassion, that all 3 of the characters in the scene have, is why Ulq said they were starting to interest him.

So i take it Neliel is a new main character??
...and what the hell she still doesnt have a hole?!
I will say one thing, for all the shit we all give Orihime's character, it is easily one of the most consistent ones IMO (even if it is rather comical at times).
Although all the main characters do have the compassion you speak of, it gets tossed in when it doesn't make too much sense. Ichigo damn near gets killed, gets the upper hand and then asks for limbs to but cut off to even the odds. It just doesn't make sense (consider back when Ichigo faced off with a one-armed Grimmjaw...he wasn't offering his arm to even the odds...). In comparison, outright refusing to kill Ulq does though, as we've seen Ichigo struggle with the thought of finishing his opponent off nn several different occassions.
Despite that though, the thing that really gets me though is comparing the fight with Ulq to some of the more recent fights Ichigo had. He quickly dispatched one of the "100" arancars (forget their title atm) without too much hesitation. Then, in the Grimmjaw fight, Ichigo did get knocked around a bit, but finally flipped a switch and just beat him down.
There was a progression there with Ichigo. As the fights started to build in importance, Ichigo finally started to fight to win. The fight with Ulq has been built up for so long and is easily the most important fight yet. Instead of this progression continuing, Ichigo's development goes all the way back to the Soul Society arc when he gets his Banki and begins his struggle with his inner hollow.
I may be nitpicking a bit, but that is what really gets on my nerves more than anything recently. I don't want to see Ichigo's progression have the reset button hit as we've seen this internal struggle once before already.
The hollow hole is obviously in her pooper.
Anyway, it's really great to see Bleach's bullshittery finally collapsing upon itself...ripping himself off means either kubo's retarded, or is a fucking narcissistic.
I knew I wasn't crazy when I thought that Ulq vs Ichigo is a blatant ripoff of the Byakuya fight...and he just went ahead and fucking prove my point with this chapter.
Honestly don't know what to say, I'd wish that he'd get cancelled so fucking hard, but I'd imagine legion of fanboys and 10 year old japanese kids would support him still...
But hey, they canned shaman kings, so here's to hoping~
