Halibel Sharkness. Do want.
Halibel Sharkness. Do want.
This didn't feel so terrible this time around. I actually felt like I got some information from more than just one page. Hopefully Kubo keeps this up.
Captains are going to get f'd up aside from yamamoto.
Stark vs Shunsui never disappoints. They're both still being lazy fighting each other D:
If this is going to actually progress somewhat normally, I'd expect with Halibel and Barragan having completely dominated their opponents thus far, I'm guessing the next chapters might have Stark getting some advantage over Shunsui. Then maybe...just maybe...as the three captains are about to be finished off, that's when the Vizards finally show up to save the day.
I don't know, I mean even though Stark "cut" Shunsui doesn't mean anything. But now that he IS cut, he'll probably go at it a bit more seriously. They can't have him lose without him ever really fighting once at 100 % The fight with him and Ukitake vs. Yamamoto in SS doesn't really count for much of anything. Both of them are probably beastly with their Bankai.
Soi Fon seems like a 2nd rate captain kind of. She lost her battle with Yorouichi with not that much effort. We have yet to see her bankai, but I doubt it can save her from her current situation. Her vice captain seems as equally hopeless.
Hitsugaya? Well I think he's had enough time in the spotlight. He's won most battles, save for when he got worked by Aizen in SS. He needs to lose this fight. I mean half of his body is gone. If he comes back from that and wins well.. I just might give up on Bleach haha.
These seem to be the battles going on currently, but when that fire field that Yamamoto made comes down, they're in for it. Of course Shinji and co. will probably come walktzing in to save the day, I am assuming.
With Soi Fon vice capt saying "Is that all you can do?" perhaps he was waiting for her to turn it up before he do.
I'm not sure they'll leave Hitsugaya like this. If he can't recover from this quickly through some ability it really has the whole "nobody dies in Bleach" thing going after it. As well, how do you explain anyone dying if a captain getting cut in half on the battlefield doesn't die? Rukia running Kaien through with the sword once doesn't mean shit if they can recover people from being sliced in half. Hitsugaya has to have some sort of thing to get "around" this in some manner quickly, they (most likely) won't kill him off as he's one of the most popular characters in the manga.
As well, Soi Fon has a fucking broken release, I have to wonder if she's just setting shit up for that to work on him, or for her to show how broken her bankai is to insta-one shot anyone, but it somehow won't be considered for the fight against Aizen.
We already know Shunsui isn't going down easy. His opponent is complementing him on being awesome still, so that fight should be close or an easy Shunsui win.
halibels release seems to be water related, obviously, so I'm sure hitsugaya will pull something out of his ass. Until I'm flat out told and shown that he is dead, I'm not believing any of this
not too concerned with soi fon because mabye. wait. no, she better use bankai. if kubo just rubs her off without showing us her bankai at this time. that's bullshit. The only characters I can understand not showing us their bankai during this arc is Yamamoto, Ukitake, Shunsui and Kenpachi....
although I think bleach is at the DBZ arc points. where spirit levels don't really matter and he can just keep adding new villians that are "stronger"
I enjoyed the chapter though. Fucking LOVE Halibel for just getting things done with. Wish most of the previous fights were like that lol
I think its pretty obvious that the Vaizards are about to show up. That's always the case when good guys start gettin taken out. Then the fat guy will power up somehow and turn into Orohime and heal Hitsu
Hitsugaya is out of the fight for sure. Komamura is probably being saved for Tousen while Ukitake might end up fighting Stark or Halibel. Someone has to fight her (unless she's ballsy enough to go for Yamamoto immediately).
Just because he's Hitsugaya don't think he'll be back in the fight with some magical powerup to win. We're supposed to see the power of the top three Espada and I think we're seeing just that.
Stark is forcing Shunsui to get serious.
Halibel one-shotted Hitsugaya before he could even react.
Barrigan is fighting both Soifon and her VC.
Conspicuously absent are Nanao and Sasikibe.
War has casualties on both sides. I'm glad the fighting is going this way and I hope it stays as such. They really ought to build up Stark and Shunsui so that by the time they fight it's an epic battle that we look forward to (heck, Kubo might even pull a raaaaaaage and build it up only to have some sort of interference so that they never fight).
Either way, looks like we're getting introduced to Halibel's next opponent in the next chapter while they build on Soifon vs. Barragan. She still has Bankai and Shunko up her sleeve, so don't count her and her VC out just yet. Barragan is challenging them (arrogantly) and I bet anything Soifon is going to put up one heck of a fight once Kubo thinks of... er... she releases her Bankai.
Well there is no Bleach or Jump at all next week rather. So may be with that extra week, he can think of something a bit better![]()
I can see Halibel going after Yamamoto. Having that cocky attitude of I just 1shot your shitty captain time to pwn you. Then he pwns her instantly.
This was a pretty bitter-sweet chapter. Loved the fact Hitsu got owned, hate the fact he's obviously going to come back. Further emphasizing the point "nobody dies in bleach." Halibel's release was freaking awesome though, it was like, "You blinked, half your body is now gone bitch!" Stark and Shunsui never disappoint, the hint that they might actually start getting serious now is a huge welcome.
Anyways, inb4 Soi Fon's VC is revealed to be the strongest shinigami.
I still say we won't see the Vaizards until way later in these fights. There are 8 of them and would just be awkward to see only 3-4 of them fight.
Also I will say again, until we see Ukitake, Shunsui, and Unohana fight I am not even going to guess how strong Yama-Ji is.
Can we get a chapter with plot progression....I'm so tired of the nonstop senseless fighting.
We aren't watching a war, we are watching people fight for no reason, until Aizen come in to overwrite any outcome with his "just as planned" move.
