They're not dead, they're probably barely hurt, I won't be surprised if next chapter they just get up and do a "hey, that surprised me, I guess I should get serious" type of thing. They're not going to go down without even popping a bankai first.

I'm wondering more about the other guys. Hitsugaya and Soifon are obviously completely screwed at this point - wonder which vaizar are going to jump in to save em? Given that it'll probably take at least three to do something about Gin and Tousen.

Just kidding. In all seriousness, I'm a huge fan of anime, but you have to admit that it gets formulaic. I mean, seriously "Oh, crap, the Hiryu Shoten Wind Scar Genki Dama Bankai Sharingan Gum Gum Moon Tiara doesn't work anymore!" gets a little old when it happens every 13 (for shojo) to 50 (for dbz style shonen) episodes or so.

At least, with super robot anime, each new robot is a new toy to sell to the kiddies and the otaku.

Aizen is most definitely a Vaizard though, most like Gin and Tousen are also.

I would say Aizen most definitely has a vizard form. Tousen less likely than Gin, though.

Tousen is going to come back to the good guys, he is the only one who doesn't fit.

I believe he is why Yama-Ji is so calmish but I have been wrong 99% of the time!

First episode of the 52 week (Yep! a year, just like the Bount) filler is out. Enjoy, gonna be a while before we see anything from the manga anytime soon.

-edit, actually the new arc starts 7/28, until then we just get a couple of those REALLY bad fillers. Like at the school and baking cakes, and soccer. All that fun stuff

I saw last night and people were commenting on how it could be a possible fake since there are no screenshots and what not. A lot of dialog and a kick ass chapter if it is indeed real.

No, it was awful. It serves as a prequel to the first episode. Completely useless. I don't get the point of it. Next week it's gonna be a "beach" episode. Then some other shitty episode the week after. The 28th starts the official new arc, the Zanpakto Strange Tales Arc. I don't know. Here's a link to info.

To be honest, that filler arc sounds more interesting than the fight -> fight -> fight progression the manga is in at the moment. It does seem to finally be progressing towards something interesting, but it has taken how long now?
