Looks like Ichigo will win. He blocks a full force attack from Grimm with his barehands at the very end of the chapter. He also fights with half his Vizard mask throughout the whole thing, which starts to break because he starts to lose focus due to Orihime's crying... it's pretty fucking epic.

I think him getting his ass whooped by everyone for so long helped. He kept his mask on for well over 30mins in this fight, I'd say. Resolve typa thing, ya know?

2chapters later he's kept it on the entire grimmjaw fight. and the reasoning for this has been explained in the manga already. Cant believe all you morons are so stupid. the reason is because "I refuse to let the msk fall off"

presumably,the end of the fight. either ichigo or grimmjaw have been 1shotted. think anime sword fights. they both charge at each other, run past each other, stand still for a few seconds or minuted depending on the anime, then 1 falls down dead.

As for the last panel:

It can't be a faceoff type of stance with two people charging at each other, like Souj mentioned. Ichigo just stood there (he lost the will to fight after looking into Orihime's eyes), waiting to be finished off by Grimm, right up until he hears Orihime's voice, cheering him on. He then catches Grimms attack full force, and strikes his sword straight down, slashing Grimm.

Read last page of 283-- It's a resolve typa thing. He wanted to win at any cost for Orihime... that was his resolve.

You can't possibly expect him to beat Espadas 1-5 (and possibly thier Numeros), Gin, Tousen, and Aizen without breaking that 11 second limit, man. If anything is "gay", it's the fact that after all this time training and fighting, the only skill he has is Getsuga Tensh? . Also as an aside, I think Halbiel is Espada #5.

yeah, he needs to be alot stronger/better to beat 1-5, I just didnt expect it to happen magically right after he was at his limit vs Ulq.
and off this subject since were just beating a dead horse..
as for some major guess work, i'd have to say: black guy#1, niotora#2, stark#3, halibel#5, old guy#7. dont think Niotora would be out to prove how strong he is if he was 1st or way down in the ranks

You know the one thing I wanna see very bad in Bleach is ichigo's dad release his sword. If he was a captain he must be pretty strong.

I might have missed it but long ago when Ichigo first met most the people in the soul society. They said he looked like someone, Who were they talking about? I think I missed when they said it.
