Barragan reflects on when Aizen came to Hueco Mundo...
He used to be king until Aizen arrived with Tousen and Gin. Aizen then hypnotized him with his sword (Kyoka Suigetsu).
While he is hypnotized, Aizen talks to Barragan as Tousen and Gin kill all of his subordinates.
After Barragan refuses to submit to Aizen, Aizen seals his zanpakuto and shows Barragan all of his dead subordinates.
After finally submitting to Aizen, Barragan swears to him that he will kill him one day.
As he dies he screams at Aizen that he was going to be the one to kill him.
Aizen doesnt even look in his direction as Barragan fades away.
Starrk basically says he can't believe Aizen doesn't care that Barragan (the 2nd Espada) was defeated. Halibel watches on in silence.
They then agree to get serious about their fights (and not take their opponents lightly).

That's actually rather interesting. I've always wondered how Aizen's rule over Hueco Mundo came about.

yeah shirosaki is quickly stealing the spotlight as the best character. all attitude and ass kicking.

Loved Shirosaki since he was first brought out by Zengetsu during one of the Ichigo training things during I think it was the Zaraki fight. I'm glad that so far they're not ruining him (yet) by making him look weak compared to Muramasa. Thus far he has been arguably the truly strongest and most unique character, would suck to have him suddenly fail. Though, I did find it interesting that

For the first time, he described himself as Ichigo's "true form" - most basic and instinctual form (as opposed to just laughing off the question). Kenpachi called Ichigo someone who "loves to fight", as did Grimjow I believe, but Ichigo has always run away from that path and would only fight to protect people. It's more like he's a split personality of somesort instead of just his "hollow side". I dunno, I could be thinking too much about it, I tend to do that a lot...

That does make sense though, and could possibly be why Ichigo is the way he is.

Haven't watched this week's episode yet, getting around to it eventually. I'm really liking this filler though.

apparently muramasa belonged to someone we never knew about? He said he killed his shinigami. Kind of deflates the exitement i had about whos he could be.

Preview showed more of renji and zabimaru going at it, and shirosaki and muramasa fighting in ichigo's soul place some more

ps looks like muramasa failed to release shirosaki on soul society. am i the only one disappointed?

edit 2: sounds like muramasa is sealing away the good sides of the zanpakutou and releasing their own "shirosakis" so to speak. also cool to get a little explanation on who shirosaki is exactly, besides being just a hollow that lives in ichigo. and it helps explain why he only shows up when ichigo loses consciousness, since his body is run by instinct at that point i guess.

Wouldn't say it rules it out. Could lead to a "WTF, I killed you!" moment from Muramasa if he showed up later all pissed off and was like, "That scratch couldn't kill a baby!" or something.

Hacchi watches as Barragan's body rots away.
Hacchi: "...That was strange.
Everything touched by his aging ability rots and turns to rubbish.
So why didn't his skeleton also turn to rubbish?
As for that I've forumated a hypothesis.
"The surface of his body repels his own ability.
He uses some type of ability to cover it.
That being the case if his power is transported to inside his body, which normally is not in contact with that ability... And so I read the situation correctly. He also feared death, and did not pass through a small life trying to keep away from aging.

Barragan, on the verge of death:
Barragan: "I won't forgive you, I won't forgive you. You are ants, you are ants... You...are...ants"

As he dies he has a recollection:
"Why did I, the King of HM, become an Espada? Why was I resigned to being one of Aizen's subordinates? And why do I so deeply resent Aizen...

*Clang Clang*

Under the moonlight a large tower's bell rings excitedly.

On a mound directly beneath the tower, is the throne prepared for the King of HM, Barragan.

From the throne we see two rows of servants and a pathway down the middle. The servants are bowing their heads to Barragan.

Barragan: "...How boring. There's no use having an army without an invading enemy. Don't you all agree?"

Servants: .......

Barragan: "Even with this question that's all you can answer?"

BANG!

Servants: What!?
Servants: Gargamel has been killed by someone!!!

Barragan: What?

The earth rumbles and Aizen, Gin and Tousen appear at the end of the pathway.

Barragan's servants rush to attack them, they are taken down by Tousen. The 3 walk down slowly towards Barragan.

Aizen: "...It's a pleasure to meet you. I take it you are the King of Hueco Mundo?

Barragan: "Indeed, and who might you be? Seeing you don't have a mask, maybe you're a human without a hollow? Or perhaps a shinigami?"

Aizen makes a face as if to dismiss that, but doesn't say anything.

Barragan: "Humph, well it doesn't matter.
If you hadn't arrived, I was thinking about dividing my army into two and having them kill each other.
I suppose I should first welcome you to my castle, Las Noches."

Tousen: "Funny. This 'castle' has neither roof nor walls.

Barragan: "There's no need for a room. As far as I'm concerned
the entire sky of HM is my roof."

Aizen: "I have something more important to ask you, King of HM.
Could you please look at my sword, Kyoukasuigetsu?"

He pulls the sword out of his scabbard and holds it at eye level.

Barragan:" .........? What sort of pretense is this?"

Aizen: "I have one question I'd like to ask you, King of HM. Are you satisfied with yourself as you are now?"

Barragan: "...What?"

Aizen: "Don't you feel the world is different than it should be? Don't you think about going to a higher place? Lend me your hand and follow me.
If you do that I'll present to you more strength and a new world."

Barragan: .....Ku.... Bwahahahahahahaha Absurd! Hilarious! A new world? Greater strength? Don't make me laugh, ant!!! I'm the King of HM!! There isn't anything higher than me!! There's no new world besides what I slice through!!! Now! You all!! Crush these arrogant ants!!!"

The servants obey Barragan's orders and try to attack Aizen and the others.

At that instant

Aizen: "Shatter, Kyoukasuigetsu."

Barragan's servants are sliced up and blood is everywhere.

Barragan is shocked at the horrible moment.

Barragan: "...What...is this....!?"

Aizen: "This is my world."

Barragan: "Why you...!!"

Aizen:''...It's ironic, King of HM - if you hold you weapon and wear black, you look very much like a shigami yourself!"

Barragan: How dare you!!!

He then says to himself, "I will kill you. It will definitely be by my hand.
You will regret presenting me with this power. I am the King. I am God.
I will never die. I will continue to target you till eternity. Aizen Sousuke."

Stark mutters as he watches Barragan turn to rubbish.
Stark: "Even with #2's death he doesn't say a word...How sad.

Stark looks down at Love and Rose.

Stark: "...This isn't a battle for revenge."

With Barragan dead #1 makes a stand! Karakura town will be covered in more blood!!
