I wouldn't really put it passed Kubo to kill off Starrk at this point, even though we still have Halibel and Yammy. After all, Barragan was the number 2 and has already died. Always hated tiered ranks like this for this reason. If you kill them in order, it becomes the fight-lose-train-win-fight next guy system that plagued DBZ. If you kill them out of order, it becomes boring and predictable

I think Grimmjow will turn out to be another one of the Kenpachi type people if he lives through this. Not really considering Ichigo a friend but some type of a respected rival.

...I think you could probably make a case for a lot of people who's bottom half's may be similarly drawn. I don't have any any pics off hand to prove it though. Similarly, I'm pretty sure Yourichi and Urahara are similar in height, or at the least, are not that drastically different (of course, one could just be hanging lower than the other, but my guess is that's not the case here). I don't know, I just don't see it (let alone how that could fit itself into the story).

Edit - Ignoring how they got there in the first place, I suppose it could lead to Mayuri setting them free then them saving everyone from lolYammi. It would fit since they defeated him the first time at the beginning of the Arrancar arc I guess.

Actually it can fit into the story, considering Urahara delves into body swapping and artificial souls/bodies for heading to earth and such. Another point, it's never explained just HOW Urahara was able to preserve and sustain life in all of the Vaizard after they became Hollows, only that he was successful obviously. This might tie into that (and subtly hint that Urahara and Youruchi are Vaizard as well).

I also saw that Isshin story coming from a mile away. XD

Well, the other option along with this is the fact that we haven't heard anything of Urahara and Youruchi in quite a while. The last time we actually saw either of them was when Urahara opened up a gate to Huecho Mundo for Ichigo and Co. Beyond that, it was just referenced that Urahara allowed the Captains in as well as building the pillars.

So who knows, maybe Kubo can squeeze something crazy in that gap, although I'm hoping he doesn't. I'd much rather see something fall in line like the above quote.

It would seem like Chad or Ishida would of said something about it though.

I doubt they will fight Yammy seeing how Unohona still hasn't fought shit in the ENTIRE series.

That should be a good fight. If Kubo's stat charts are anywhere near correct than she's a beast. Her offense is the same as Kenpachi's and she's only a bit weaker than him when it comes to physical strength. Not to mention everything else she has going for her. Only Aizen and Yama have higher captain ratings than her >.>;
