To be fair, and I agree on all the "this is suddenly where we were years ago" thing, but while Aizen knew them for 100 years, I doubt Aizen has specific knowledge of the bankai's/"true strength" of at least half of the current captains/vizards. I mean, during the time Aizen was both VC and Captain, those who were already captains probably would never show/explain their power to him (Ukitaki/Shinsui/Unahona especially). I'm betting he never really knew the vizards true/original shinigami powers either (we already know Shinji kept him at arm's length away, so no way he would have explained his power to Aizen) and it's still unpredictable to Aizen what Urahara did to the vizards. As much as I dislike this all seemingly turning out to be just another of Aizen's tests since it's taken 3 years to get here...I don't really have a problem with it in terms of overall story.

Consider this, if Aizen really doesn't know the "true power" of the captains, and he's not really sure of the power the Hougyuku/other experiments has given his Espada, it makes sense to test them in an all out war. If he's even more unsure about all this, it makes more sense to trap half the captains in HM by luring Inoue away as he did. As we've clearly seen, the captains dominated the Espada. Now his test is completed, the Espada were complete failures. Now he can move on with the rest of his plan which somehow involves his Wonderweiss experiment and who knows what else.

Meh I dunno, I've enjoyed the story overall just hated how it's taken so long to get here.

I agree and stuff but... like your last thing. It's taken WAY too long to get this point. It would've been fine if Kubo skipped out on the fraccion shit. That alone would've saved, what? 45 chapters? lol

his pacing is just complete shit which is the most annoying. the just as planned stuff would be tolerable if not for it

I'm hoping sooner or later some fed-up fans will pull a Star Wars and create a better Phantom Edit of the last 3 years' worth of arcs, and make Bleach a well-paced action-packed shonen manga.

Pacing wouldn't be bad if he still had content each chapter like back in the SS arc. We go absolutely no where each chapter because he uses pages upon pages for negative space.

Naruto actually has very good pacing, fights typically begin and end within a month's worth of chapters. The main problem with Naruto is it's easy to stop caring about who wins and who loses, since characters seem to come and go like they're on a conveyor belt.

animecrazy has the latest movie subbed now. The subs are fucking horrid, but it's worth a watch just to see urahara use a new move. Zaraki is hilarious as always. Takes on a beast solo that 6 other captains were losing to.

Komamura was the only one who had it right -- unleashing his Bankai to completely take out some pointless underling is the way everyone should be doing things. What's the point of having all that power if you're not gonna use it against an enemy like Aizen or what appears to be his strongest underlings.

If Aizen is stronger than all of the Espada combined, wouldn't he have known this, and thus, would have known they were no match for Soul Society? Couldn't they just sense where the pillars are and use kido to destroy them? Wait, I think Kubo forgot he made pillars.

Hisagi is fighting Tousen with Komamura. Yama's VC is keeping the barrier around the town. Omaeda finished fighting Barragan with Soifon. Renji is in HM with Rukia. Iba is down for the count after a cero to the face. Isane, Nemu, and Yachiru are both in HM with their captains. Nanao is MIA, and Kaien is long dead.

Same goes with Naruto, One Piece, and any Shounen Jump comics.

Naruto, One Piece and Yu Yu Hakusho are the only manga I read in Shonen Jump nowadays. Despite Stan Lee's high hopes for Ultimo, I don't find it executed well enough. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX has good art, but, again, the execution. Tegami Bachi just doesn't meet my fancy, and I find Bleach too steeped in Shoenen formula.

The thing is, Yu Yu Hakusho has only four issues left and then it's gone too! At least Naruto and One Piece (a couple months from now) will be caught up so whenever they do end, we'll have it soon after Japan does.
